ynotMemberQuote:Thanks for the information. Did you get a replacement that did work?
Yeah…but it wasn’t a EHX pedal.
ynotMemberQuote:Hi,I also suffer from the volume boost that is there no matter what I set the blend to.
I see there are 3 trimpots inside the Memory Toy. One is for the Modulation Depth. Could one of those others be for gain?
If not, can i return the unit and get a replacement hoping that one won’t have the boost?
Thanks,
Ronald
This is the reply i got from EHX when I asked about the volume issue.I ended up returning mine:
“Hello. Unfortunately that is normal for this unit and there is no trim pot adjustment to lower the gain.
Regards,”ynotMemberThanx but I’ll probably just return it & get something else.If the pedal is incapable of unity gain & don’t have an adjustment then I’d rather just not use it.Last thing I need is an extra pedal in my chain for each pedal I have to compensate for.
ynotMemberI’m also hoping for an answer to this, soon too or mine is going back.I just got it today & noticed a big volume boost. This screws with my whole setup because my main amp has no FX loop & since it also has no master volume everything is based around gain staging in my chain (cln/dist etc..).Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
ynotMemberDoes anyone know the proper way to split/combine the signal (to one amp),maybe I’ll go that route since I have a volume pedal anyway? The splitting part doesn’t worry as me much,I suppose a simple Y-cable would suffice so long as it’s after a buffered pedal but what about combining the two? Should there be a resistor or something in line to keep the two signals from stepping on each other? I’m not adverse to making it myself if I have to.
ynotMemberHow are you splitting/combining the signal,Y-cables? If so whats that doing to the tone & impedance?
