The power adapter is irrelevant. Remember in circuits that different voltages are needed throughout. The voltage at the power jack is not seen by every part.

In an email a year ago, EHX told me that I could use 0-5. I’m assuming that more than 5V there could very well fry the ADC, or have no effect because the maximum value was already reached.

Ok. I’ll make sure it doesn’t go over 5 then.

I’m not sure exactly how it’s wired up, but there’s a chance you’d damage something. Does 0 to 5 send it the whole range and then some, or not quite the whole range?

Well, the Moog, I found out, actually sends less than 0-5. Something more like, +/- 2ish, so that’s ok. This sequencer I have, however, will send 0-15 and that’s more what I’m concerned about. I will have to actually measure the voltage on the cable to be sure, but it’s supposed to go up to 15V.

I measured my power adapter for the HOG the other day (the official one) and that actually seems to be sending something like 12 or more volts, so is 15 really a problem or will it possibly just sound funny?
