Can EHX release the OS source code so we can modify and include some of the enhancements recommended on this forum our selves?

    Thanks!

I’m running into the same issue. I have my my 2880 hooked up to a mixer so I need to make sure everything going into the 2880 is set up with the correct volume or the clipping happens to easily. If I turn on a wah, it usually will clip the 2880 on the higher frequencies. I’m thinking about getting a compressor which should let me set a limit to the max volume going into the 2880 and should prevent clipping.

Make sure your formating your CF card correctly, there are posts on the forum on how to do that.

There is an updated software version 1.5 that includes fixes for midi, you can download it on the product page.

I’ve never had any of the issues that you’ve had, I’ve been pleasantly pleased with my 2880 and I use it as a midi slave with an alesis sr-18 drum machine..

What is the probability of EHX releasing a software update that incorporates some of these changes?

I am using the 2880 as a midi slave to my alesis sr-18 drum machine. This way I always know the exact tempo that I am playing with, and using the quantize feature on the 2880 syncs my loops to the closest beat on the drum machine.

It works perfectly when I start recording as soon as I start the drum machine, but if I start the drum machine, put the 2880 into sync mode, and then try and record, I need perfect timing in order for the 2880 to sync up to the correct beat on the drum machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions/tips in using the 2880 as a slave?

    Thanks,

    Tom.

You can control the volume using a Midi Foot controller.

Pitch control is not possible with the 2880.

Behringer has a pretty cheap one. I’m still working on getting mine programmed and synced up to the 2880. Having a problem mapping the CC#’s to 100+ which is what the record/play/new loop functions need.

You can hook up a midi foot controller and use that to mute/un-mute specific tracks depending on the Control Change # you send in. I’m trying to do this with my Roland FC-300 midi foot controller.

Can anyone help out on these two problems? Still haven’t been able to figure it out.

    Thanks!
