I just read in the manual that the v256 is 24 bit 36 kHz..maybe the recording would have to match this? As opposed to 44.1 or 48 etc?
& I’ve got a RME UCX. You’d use an XLR cable going from one of your outputs on your interface into this & out of the v256 into one of your inputs. I just worry I might blow something up. The XLR input of the v256 is 10 kilo ohms. So…your output would have to be in the acceptable range…I think..(line level?) …’what the hell’s a jigawatt!?’ It’s this gain staging thing again.
Hi,
I’d like to do this too but like you, had no luck. I ended up getting a TC Helicon Voicelive Rack which had an instructional video on how to set it up for this ( pre recorded voice track put through it as opposed to live singing ) It has something to do with gain staging from memory. Having seen the video I think it should be possible with the v256 too. Some help with this would be great as it would open up a whole new dimension of creative recording possibilities in the studio.
