Looking for a demo of the phaser chorus and tremolo used more conventionally….this could be a really useful poor mans Mobius if the mod circuits are nice.

Are the mod circuits based on EHX designs we know and love or something new?

I picked up one of these – tons of fun. Doesn’t “clean up” with the volume knob but is extremely interactive at the full range of the tone knob.

Isn’t the MicroSynth just an analog octave box? I.e. “MOG”?

Absolutely. (Although I think those functions are on the right side of the POG2 interface).

The attack filter (slow gear) alone in a nano enclosure would be must-have kit for me. Its really the only reason I tolerate the POG2 on my board; otherwise I’d go with a Micro or Nano POG for the octaves.

Hear that EHX… you can take my money for TWO NEW PEDALS with no need to develop new algorithms or anything other than copy/paste stuff into nano boxes!

Another thing that would make Superego even more useful would be to add internal switching (with an external toggle) to put effects either in the Superegos effects loop, or in the series with the pedal. Currently I use a T1M dropout to get that function but it eats up a spot on the board that is rather use for a sound shaper.

I’m trying to compile a list of settings comparisons between Pitchfork and the Boss PS-6 Harmonist. Its over on TGP at http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?p=18887468. If you spot errors or omissions let me know and I’ll update the post as necessary. (I havent cross-posted it, to minimize cross-feed of bad data if there are any errors in there).

You got yerself either a loose wire inside the enclosure or else something touching the power-supply positive post on the interior of the power jack, and causing it to short out. Open it up and you can probably find it. If its a shorting issue, just remove or relocate the cause of the short. If its a loose wire, you’ll see if. If you’re not sure where the loose wire goes post a gutshot with it in view and someone here can help you out. Pretty easy repair if you or a buddy can solder; if not lots of folks (me included) do pedal repair and can help you out.

Try the small stone before your Terra Echo. In fact, I’d put all your mod before your delay… that’ll probably change it to the sound you’re looking for.

I’m having an issue with the small stone univibe mod (done on my small stone v4). The “magic caps” are on switches, so the capacitor for each phase can be either stock, modded, or off entirely (which I think takes that phase out of the equation). Any combination of 3 or 4 magic caps sound great, so I haven’t really worried about anything else but I’d like to get the whole thing functioning right.

Here’s the problem: since I’ve done the mod, the “all stock” setting no longer sounds right. Instead of a full, bright sweep with sparkly highs and full lows, the highs are tinny and the lows just drop out. Also, the color switch (I replaced the stock switch with a DPDT toggle) no longer works. (When set to “color” the whole signal chain drops out).

Any ideas of what I’ve done here? I can post photos/video if you think it will assist.

Some switches are just prone to building up static electricity which discharges (making a loud pop) when toggled. I have this problem with 3 of my pedals. Prior to sound check (and occasionally between songs) I’ll mute my rig and just hit each buggy switch a couple of times to let it discharge. Solves it for me.

to do that record the loop using the “looper” setting on the Hazarai knob. that will record a loop without a delay effect. Then, the effect will be “on” only for purposes of playing the loop – it won’t be adding delay or echo.

Thanks EH Man. Don’t suppose you have the part ID for the op amp at issue? I see a few It looks microscopic & surface mounted so I think it’ll test my soldering skills but I suppose I couldn’t make it worse than it is now. Thanks!
