Nah…as long as they’re all useful to you and you have the space on your board, go for it! I had three different dirt boxes (OD & distortion; no fuzz yet) on my board until yesterday, when I had to remove one to make room for the Superego. I did occasionally have all three on at the same time.

I’m a newbie too, and have only had my Superego (my first EHX product) for two days, but it sounds like a level mis-match to me. Based on many hours of reading about the S-EGO while waiting for it to arrive, I learned that its tracking is sensitive to the input level, and having any other effects before it can affect that.
