You can run all your stomp boxes into your FloorPOD, use the amp modeling in the FloorPOD, and connect that to the PA via direct box. Basically, if you don’t want to use an amp, and still want your guitar to sound like it’s being played through an amp, you need some kind of modeling device between your stomp boxes and DI. Some alternatives to the POD may be the KORG Pandora line, Behringer Vamp, or something by Digitech.

    Hope that helps

I don’t own one, so I can’t say for sure, but I bet the Cathedral Reverb will do that. And probably a lot more!

The price of the pedal usually has little to do with weather it’s true bypass or not. And I’m sure EH do make pedals that are not true bypass. I believe the POG2 and Microsynths are some of them.

True bypass has turned into a buzz word to sell more pedals. It doesn’t nessassarily make a pedal better to be true bypass. I’m sure the original Pulsar (not XO) was true bypass, so that’s what leads me to believe the Stereo Pulsar is as well.

    Hope that helps!

+1 on everything you said about the POG2. I vote Ring Thing next. Check out Bill Ruperts Effectology series to see why. Bill also does an exceptional demo vid you can get to by checking out the product page.

I have the Stero Pulsar. Only recently began using it in stereo. Bought it used for $40, and I can’t say enough good things about it! If they made a deluxe version with tap tempo, it would be the only way they could make it better (IMO). And I believe it is true bypass, but I reserve the right to be wrong.

I think he wants to effect the “effected” frozen signal, and play “dry” along with it. But still a nice suggestion Whammy;)

+1 for the Deluxe Memory Boy. It’s analogue, tap tempo, beat divions, and has an expression mode selector (feedback, delay rate, modulation depth, etc). It’s my fav delay. However, I am looking forward to picking up a SMMwH. Cause I can never have enough delay!

in reply to: Re-amping using 44 Magnum as second power amp? #112889

My 44 breaks up around the 12 o’clock position. Haven’t tried it in a reamping situation tho’. It may break up a lil earlier. Hope that helps.

+ 1 for an XO Synth pedal that will do glide.

in reply to: Using Voice Box with Sampler or Cd input #112813

I use samples from my MacBook (and soft synths) to feed the instrument input if my VoiceBox. But I use it as a vocoder. You may have to experiment to get the harmonies to work for you. But it shouldn’t be too difficult.

I did this on my Dr Q (Nano) as well. It sounds great! No more volume drop.
