TheGhostMachinaMemberHey Ambienttales,
I run my Audio Control 1 on a MacBook laptop, spring 2008 model, running Snow Leopard 10.6.5. I also use a Novation Launchpad, and sometimes a MAudio Axiom25. Been performing live with this setup since summer 2009, and I haven’t had any drop outs from my soundcard. If I use all three USB devices, then I run them thru an external hub (powered). Once I plugged my iPhone in to charge during a rehearsal break, and that caused the soundcard to lose power. So I don’t charge my phone that way anymore;)
I’ve used this gear in a variety of argyle. But the currently I’m using the HiZ in to loop my gtr (after pedals/before amps), and the mix in to process my vocoder (comp/delay/looping). For outputs I use 1 as a click track (or drum sequences), 2 vocoder, 3/4 gtr amp and 2.
Hope that was useful. Let me know what you end up doing!

TheGhostMachinaMemberI like cool glitches.. Let us know how ya make out;)
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberI don’t recommend adjusting any trims in the Memory Boy. Try taking it back to the store and trading it for another one.

TheGhostMachinaMemberWhen you set the blend, have you made sure to hold down the ‘Mic Bypass’? Factory default is 100% dry (Blend CCW). Noon is 50/50, and CW is 100% wet. Hope that helps.

TheGhostMachinaMemberDoes it just happen in the one mode? Or can you not vocode with an instrument in any mode?
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberSorry, almost forgot.. Cryabetes (another user on this forum) does some great things with his 2880. You should check him out to;)
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberGood to hear. I’m considering purchasing the 2880 to replace Ableton as my main looper, while still using my laptop as a midi sequencer. Do you have any samples of yer music I can check out? I always like to see what other loopers are doing.

March 18, 2011 at 12:34 am in reply to: does the deluxe memory man have similar/the same oscillation as an old (non-deluxe) memory man? #114693TheGhostMachinaMemberI would easily pay that for that Man. Wish I was where you are. Sorry, I can’t help ya on the oscillation. Ron?

TheGhostMachinaMemberI think ‘Vox’ is short for ‘Vocals’

TheGhostMachinaMemberYou can do this (and A LOT) more with a HOG, since it has a dry out. Otherwise you would have to split (A/B box) your gtr signal with one going to the POG and bass amp, and the other going to your gtr fx and amp.
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberHow about they just make more of both?
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberTry putting your modulation pedals in the fx loop of your amp. Do this by plugging yer guitar into distortion, then amp, as usual. Then plug a 1/4 frm the fx send of your amp, to the modulation pedals (chorus/flange) and return 1/4 to the fx return. Some amps have a blend knob that allows you to dial in the amount of fx with your dry signal. Some do not.
You can also try putting your modulation pedals before distortion. But it might not give you the same tone.
Hope that helps,

TheGhostMachinaMemberI do what you do. I use the Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1. You should check it put.
TGM
TheGhostMachinaMemberAnyone know if this works for the POG2, VoiceBox, and/or SMMwH?
