Totally. The fade-ins on multi-tap modes are killer and twisting the knobs definitely give unexpected results. I’m only now getting acquanited with it as a reverb, the decay knob by itself (with repeats/delay turned low) has shown me some beauty.

Says 8-16 ohms right in the manual, the part that I quoted above. Also the description for the Ernie Ball refers to it being instrument level, so it will not accept a speaker out from an amplifer.

To do panning like you’re describing, you need two amplifiers, not just two speaker cabinets. You will fry your stuff inside, and I don’t know what cabinets you want to use, but you may actually fry them (with fire) as well. Be careful.

EDIT: Getting two 22 calibers really would allow you to run how you want to. It would probably sound awesome.

Yeah, they don’t really hang out around here, but from the manual:

8 – 16 Ohm OUTPUT Jack – Connect the 22 CALIBER’s OUTPUT jack directly to a speaker cabinet.

WARNING: NEVER CONNECT THE OUTPUT OF THE 22 CALIBER TO THE INPUT OF ANOTHER AMPLIFIER, AN EFFECTS PEDAL, MIXER, COMPUTER, COMPUTER INTERFACE OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR DEVICE.

So after looking at everything the answer to your question is defnitely no. May I ask what you’re trying to do? To use two cabs I guess you’re looking for two different sounds but if they come from the same amp (the 22 cal) what’s really the difference? Would you run different fx chains? Because you can’t run pedals after the 22 either. Also you should be aware that EHX no longer recommends it for 4 ohm loads. Just trying to help, and learn.

I’m not the authority on this, but seems like a bad idea. If anything, it seems that you should get two 22 calibers and use the pan pedal to go to each one, and then the cabinets.

Awesome. That thing gives me a boner. But I’ve decided after much thought that I’m gonna stick with my QTron+ for now. That thing has so much more to offer that I haven’t even gotten to yet.

But yeah, thanks for the deep review.

Sad. Definitely a big part of my 4-10 year-old life, when my sense of humor was developing. A heavy burden was on him it seems and I trust his soul is now at rest. Godspeed, Gary.

Thanks for posting this Bill, incredible as always.

Everyone should watch the BBC “Alchemists of Sound” documentary from some time ago. It features all the amazing goings on at the workshop with Delia et al. Its split up into 10 minute clips by a few people below.

Is it brand new? You should be able to return it to the store rather than go through the warranty at this early stage.

in reply to: HELP! RING THING DOESN’T WORK WITH EXP-Pedal #107527

Make sure the FINE knob is full left. Not all volume/expression pedals work, so I am unsure if the Ernie Ball one qualifies. MAudio and Boss/Roland definitely work, Yamaha FC7 and Behriner FCV 100 definitely do not work. So make sure your pedal’s fine knob is set correctly and try again. If not, you may need to try a different pedal.

You’re holding the tap button too long, and it is putting it into loop mode. Every setting (except 1sec+Rev) has the ability to loop. So in regular delay mode, with the intention of tapping in a delay, press and release faster. If you want to loop what you’re hearing, hold it for more than a second (which is what you’re doing) and you will have a loop. You can switch to another delay mode and add loops in another setting if you want. If you want to erase the loop, turn the pedal off and press down the tap button until the loop deletes. If you like the loop and want to mess around with it, shift it to loop mode on the haz button and then you can mess with it in accordance to the directions.

    There you go.

The Memory Toy doesn’t do infinite clean repeats, you would need at least a digital delay, preferably a looper. Hazarai does both. Get one.

in reply to: SMMH Multitap 1sec + Rev. question #105710

Wait sorry, you are referring to the multi-tap reverse. My bad. It should play back the last 6 seconds from the moment you step on the switch. How do you have your repeats set and all that?

in reply to: SMMH Multitap 1sec + Rev. question #105717

Welcome to the board. Where does it say you can get up to 6 seconds playback? It says up to 3 seconds everywhere in the manual.

I love my Q-Tron+. I actually do leave it on a good amount of the time. It just adds life to the sound and can be obvious or subtle. Have you put anything in the fx loop yet?
