    Nope.

Well they just came with the 44 magnum, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. It’s like, you’re GregNormal. You just got here, but I’m already wondering when GregSupreme will arrive.

Welcome to the board, man. I would love a hundred-watt too.

For the function you want, POG2 is what you’re looking for.

How old is it? Bring it back to the shop and get a replacement. If older than a few weeks send it in for warranty repair.

If its a new pedal I wouldn’t mess around with it. Just return it to the store and get a working one. Other troubleshooting: Are you using the right adapter?

You mean the volume drops when you turn the effect off? That shouldn’t happen.

Fantastic! I love the Ring Thing. Thanks for calling attention to that feature Bill.

My MP was totally noiseless. Sounds like a problem.

in reply to: Brand New Q-Tron+ = Bad Times #109909

Hi friend. I have and love the QTron+, but I am unfamliar with the “inherent fault”. I put that in quotes because it came from a guy in a music store, where they say all kinds of silly things based on nothing.

That said, I certainly believe you have a problem, so let’s work it out! Your description, was it simply a loud switch sound, or something weirder? Since you’ve played mostly Boss pedals you are probably used to the silent switching buffered bypass, where the Q-Tron is true bypass. True bypass pedals are indeed more audible, but still shouldn’t be loud enough to halt a performance. And when you went back to the store, did you try another? And are you plugging right into the PA?

I should point out that I have the sheet metal version, not the latest version that is sold new in stores now, so my view may be skewed. But they are the same inside, as far as I know.

I was also surprised at the loud volume the first time I plugged it in, but that comes from the settings of this very interactive pedal. Once you know it more, it may not be such a problem to you.

Great review John, glad you decided to pick one up. The octave up/down is so good.

in reply to: Daisy Chain with One Spot? #109786

Well it doesn’t need to be daisy chained, but why not? Put the SMMH on there too. Oh wait you may only have a five-pedal connector. Well either way you should be fine.

in reply to: riddle question… #109784

I don’t have a Riddle but I do have a QTron. It has the same light as an input indicator. There is no problem at all, it just is a visual of the strength of your signal. This is because these envelope filters/followers react to your playing dynamics. You hit harder, the effect is more intense. So if you want a more subtle sound, you play lighter. Use your gain on the pedal to find the spot where your picking style creates the sound that you want. Play a note while you adjust the gain and watch where the light indicates, it should match up with the intensity of your effect.

in reply to: Daisy Chain with One Spot? #109782

My 2 cents: On a single one spot I have a Boss tuner, Boss DD5 delay, two Fuzzhugger fuzzes, Ring Thing, and SMMH. Never a problem. Just to be safe, I started putting the two fuzzes (both analog) on a separate one spot just to head-off any potential interference. But I never actually had a problem.

EDIT: I forgot that when I ran a Sovtek Muff on the same line with a DanO Fab Tone, I did have a very obvious conflict. But the Sovtek muff only had a battery so I had to use a battery adapter and I had even more pedals on the chain at the time. FYI.

Dude I’m totally getting one (or two) of these, for all this knob twiddling

So I went ahead and got some Option Knobs. I put one on the REPEATS knob of the SMMH. It has really opened up some possibilities. I play a simple delayed riff and then slowly crank up the repeats into ridiculous-ness, then crank it back down like I used to do with my DL4, but without having to look down at that giant ugly green monster and its crappity expression pedal, waiting for the whole thing to break down like so many other DL4’s.

I put a second option knob on my Boss DD-5’s LEVEL knob. I use that pedal’s sample/hold for short 2 second loops and now I can easily fade them in and out. I bought a third Option Knob only because it was discounted to buy a third. Good thing I did, because I dropped my Hazarai and broke one of the knobs right away.

Overall, this simple product is a winner, without a doubt.

in reply to: A question from an ex multi effects guy #109731

    Ok I’ll chime in.

    Guitar>Riddle>Soul Preacher>Little Big Muff>Worm>POG 2>Stereo Electric Mistress>Memory Man with Hazarai>Cathedral>Amp.

Maybe switch the Soul Preacher and LBM, maybe switch the LBM and the Worm, maybe switch the SMMH and Cathedral.
