That’s correct. Sorry, you can’t use a direct box to record it. You’ll have to use a microphone.

The EH ManModeratorJust a regular audio speaker. If you want to record it you’ll have to use a direct box with a speaker input or a microphone.
The EH ManModeratorPlug your synth into an amp. Take the speaker out jack of the amp and plug it into the amplifier jack on the Golden Throat. The speaker out of the Golden Throat has to connect to a speaker, not a line in jack. The red light will only light up during overload conditions.

The EH ManModeratorVery cool! I’ve never even heard of this before. I would guess 9vdc with a positive tip. The other jack may be for controlling it with a signal rather than sound activation.
The EH ManModeratorThere is a stop in the pot to prevent 360 degree turning. You need to find a miniature 100k linear pot with a 1/8″ shaft. Not easy, but they do exist. If you can’t find one, let me know.
