The EH ManModeratorQuote:I’ll do that! I’m not too familiar with contact cleaner, though. You can find it in electronics shops?
Even Radio Shack carries it. Get Caig De-Oxit if you can find it. A bit more expensive but it’s good stuff.
The EH ManModeratorDepends on what mods you’re asking about.
The EH ManModeratorThe problem could be the switch. You can use a multimeter to troubleshoot it.
November 25, 2008 at 12:09 pm in reply to: will the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ power the HOG? #87676The EH ManModeratorQuote:I’m going to get a PP2+ soon and would like to know.AFAIK everything else I have except the frequency analyzer can be powered by it.
According to Voodoo Labs’ site, the max current supplied by any 9vdc outlet is 250mA. The EHX Hog ships with a 9vdc, 500mA power supply. From this, I would imagine the Hog requires at least 300mA to operate correctly.
The short answer: I don’t think it will.
The EH ManModeratorQuote:Quote:The repeats are not as clean as on the reissue. The reissue has an ultra-clean repeat.Yeah, on this one they sound like a digitech pds series delay someone has messed with the trim pots on, or a bit crusher in teh fx loop of a digital delay. there is dirty and there is this one.
It far far far dirtier then my other delays from that time period [couple digitech racks, pds8000, etc]. It sound more like my PDS20/20 that I’ve adjusted the trims on. Actually it sounds JUST like it.
Does this sound broken to you? Do you know anyone who could referb it for me? Does anyone?
The only person I’ve found that could do any work on these is CJ Landry. I’ll PM his email to you.
The EH ManModeratorThe repeats are not as clean as on the reissue. The reissue has an ultra-clean repeat.
The EH ManModeratorQuote:Quote:You said the thread was worthless w/o pics. Since the thread is about the 3-Phase, I though that was what you meant.I think I have some pics of the Hall of Science in an article at home.
Yes, you’re right, I should have been more specific
But I knew the picture from your article and I never heard about the Hall of Science before
I should be putting together an article on the Hall of Science soon. I need to talk to my friend and get his description of the store.
The EH ManModeratorQuote:Thanks Ron, but I meant a picture of that EH Hall of Science(or that 48th street store)
You said the thread was worthless w/o pics. Since the thread is about the 3-Phase, I though that was what you meant.

The EH ManModeratorThe EH ManModeratorThey’re completely different circuits. The vintage unit uses a CMOS IC, the 4049, similar to the Tube Sound fuzz in Craig Anderton’s DIY book.
The EH ManModeratorI’m sure those listed at Mouser would work fine. Let us know if that’s the case.
As an alternative, you could pick up a can of neoprene rubber coating compound and make your own.

How much were they at Musician’s Friend? The EH ManModeratorQuote:This needs to be done.We have mentioned this before and i think you guys will agree that a history section needs to be on this site.
EH Man Extravaganza has a list but only some products have pics.
Adding more pics to my site has been a “to-do” thing on my list for quite a while. I try to link products on the EH product list to pics that are already being used in the articles but I know I’m way behind on that. Give me time and I’ll have it caught up.
The EH ManModeratorQuote:Quote:That looks authentic to me. I have an autographed poster.:thumb:
What’s on the poster, EH Man? Do you have a pic of it?
Here’s a pic:
