Hard to tell from that pic.

The one w/ plain lettering is definitely the earlier version, but I’m pretty sure the knob is non-original.
Send me your address and I’ll send you a knob for it.

Thank’s for the reply! My scheme show’s a 2N6110. Would the power light still be on?

    Yes.

1st: check your voltages, especially around the 2N6111 in the power supply.

Somehow, I’d be more surprised if Mike didn’t do something like this.

    The man was/is a visionary.

    Now, where’s the solar pedals?

I can’t tell what it’s doing on the schematic. It may be something to do with the Color. Did you try adjusting it on both settings of the Color switch?

I’m not aware of any guide circulating for the Bad Stone. I don’t have the schematic right in front of me at the moment, but I would guess that one trimpot sets the bias of the FETs and the other is probably a Color/Feedback trim.
I would start by setting the bias trim where it gets the best phasing effect, then set the feedback to wherever you like it.

The common problem that occurs is the 4.7 ohm resistor in the power supply burning up. Also, the output op-amp goes bad. Sounds like yours may just be the resistor. That would also keep the LED from lighting.

Are you using a power supply or a battery?
Chances are the resistor in the power supply has burned up. Easy to replace, though.

I don’t see any disconnected wires.

If you can post some pics I’ll see what I can do.

There was one other I used, same housing as the others with a type of Bowden cable attached to it which would then in turn be fastened on to the Delay Rate pot on my Memory Man (after removing the knob) so it was possible to control the delay time with a foot pedal while playing. Using a super tight delay it was effective in “bending” the notes I played on the Deagan Electravibe when and as I wished. What was that pedal called? I have it in the cellar somewhere. Have to go and look.

    That would be the Hotfoot.

I’m betting that the output op-amp has gone bad in it.
If it’s still under warranty you can send it back to EH for repair.

Sounds like you’ve done all the proper troubleshooting. Does the LED light up when you switch it on?

    From the EH catalog:
The Sovtek 12AX7WB has more gain and saturation than our WA. Its warmer, darker sound is preferred by Rivera, VHT, Demeter, and Kendrick, among other manufacturers.

You can use any 12AX7 tube in it. The WB suffix is for low noise.

There is no set standard that I’m aware of on how often tubes should be changed. Basically, when it starts sounding different or tired. That;s when you change them. You might actually be fine for years.
