It looks wired correctly in the pic. I’d have to guess a bad switch.

The EH ManModeratorThe AC adapter jack is the small jack between the in/out jacks. The battery red wire connects to one of the terminals there and another red wire goes to the circuit board.
This is a Small Clone and not a Nano Clone, right?

The EH ManModeratorJust did a bit more checking on that and it looks like you would need to use an isolated switching jack for Frequency control. This would also require a stereo cable and an expression pedal that sends all 3 lugs of the pot to the cable.
The EH ManModeratorDepends on how the control you’re replacing is wired. You may need to use an isolated plastic jack (like that used on Marshalls) to keep the signal from shorting to ground.
Regardless, you’ll need to use a switching jack so control is returned to the panel when the expression pedal is unplugged.The EH ManModeratorI think that would be a bulky and cumbersome piece of equipment.
It wouldn’t be hard to add an expression pedal jack for any of the sliders.
