My wife often says I don’t take her big muff seriously either!
😆TenSecondTedMemberQuote:hey, i was wondering if those connector cables (like 3 inches of male-males connection with no rubbery middle) would have any problem?I use those.
The ones I have are by Rotosound and are basically 2 male plugs stuck together. They are great for me as I have a lot of similar EHX XO pedals in a line. There is only a 2 cm gap between my pedals. For pedals that don’t line up I use those patch cables with the ‘squashed’ flattened ends.
When i finally get round to building a decent pedalboard/case, it will be the tidiest one in the world!
TenSecondTedMemberQuote:old mans pants? what the duece does that mean? is it like the bees knees? The opposite!
TenSecondTedMemberHave you used it to drive a tube amp?
Mine sounds like old man’s pants through my solid state marshall and vox valvetronic. I’m hanging onto it though in case it becomes a revelation when I finally get an all tube monster!
Think I’ll start a ‘swearbox’
😆TenSecondTedMemberSo Grim, how are you finding the Bird?
TenSecondTedMemberI’ve got one but I’m not too keen. The treble is just too harsh to be useable within my current set up.
Although, I bet it sounds great driving a decent tube amp. I’m hanging on to mine until I get a better amp and probably picking up a lpb-1 to give me a boost for solos.
TenSecondTedMemberThanks for all the great replies guys.
I might go for the Schallers, but I’m still a bit worried about messing with the holes on my LP.Maybe I could change the screw that comes with the locks to a screw that looks like the original one I remove. Dunno.
Keep the advice coming folks!
TenSecondTedMemberA Tone Wicker and a Metal Muff. All EHX, all cheap, all cool
TenSecondTedMemberI haven’t seen the ProGuitarShop demo, but I get a ring mod type sound in ‘Reverse Echo’ Mode with BLEND – max, DECAY – 12 O’Clock, REPEATS – 12 O’Clock, DELAY – minimum.
You get a serious volume drop though. Are these the settings you are using?February 15, 2010 at 9:00 am in reply to: Ideas for the next batch of diecast RI pedals and possible EHX pedals of the future. #107522TenSecondTedMemberQuote:We desparately need XO versions of the small stone and the bad stone.A bit like this??

:facepalm:TenSecondTedMemberVery slick Axel.
:clap:Loved the way it seemed to change every time it repeated!
I love my SMMH too. Maybe I should have a video camera running constantly whenever I’m messing about with it, just to keep a record of all the crazy sounds I come up with! The variations seem endless- a truly amazing pedal.February 12, 2010 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Sovtek big muff VS Big muff pi which do you like best #107422TenSecondTedMemberQuote:I recently got my Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker about a week ago… but I’ve been using my Russian Big Muff (the black one) for a couple months now. They are both very different! The russian one has a darker sound with less sustain. The Tone Wicker version has a brighter sound with way more sustain. I actually prefer the Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker over the Russian version. It has SOOO much more fuzz! It also looks cooler!Big Muff Tone Wicker for me too
TenSecondTedMemberI’m a treble addict (I have a Germanium OD AND a Screaming Bird for goodness sake!)
Then again, I play a Les Paul. I would hate to hear my set up through a strat!
TenSecondTedMemberThat’s a great clip.
I love it when clips show you the features and sounds of the product rather than how good the guitarist is.TenSecondTedMemberGuitar/Dirt/Preamp/Modulation/Delay/PowerAmp
