    Guitars

    A white Tele and a Martin 000

    Amps

    Vox AC30HW2X or maybe a Dr Z

    Pedals

    POG2 and MicroSynth

Then I’m done! GAS cured! (maybe) 😆

    Cool !

I am hoping for a Tele next year for my 40th – I’ve been dropping LOTS of hints!

Oh, I forgot – I also got one of those ‘Peavey Ampkit’ links for my iphone. I haven’t downloaded the app yet, so I can’t tell you what it’s like.

Woah, thanks for the responses guys! I’m actually going to pick up a little big muff pretty soon in a trade. I’m excited. I have a flanger pedal, and love modulation pedals, so a chorus and a phaser are on my list, as well as a delay. the thing is that I need a delay that i can dial an exact tempo on, so I’m going to have to pick up something digital. I saw that EHx makes a treble booster. that caught my attention.

I gotta ask, are the smaller versions much different than the bigger pedals?

I do need a compressor! does the black finger work for all kinds of stuff, or is it better with chords or leads?

I’d like to compress my signal before flanging it, chorusing it, phasing it and delaying it to death.

does EHx make a good tremolo pedal? one with a good solid CHOP? I dont need volume going up and down slowly, I need like, oscillation.

Can I add my admiration of the ‘Stereo Pulsar’ to this thread. I bought mine not thinking I would use it much at all, but I was blown away – it’s great.

Big Muff with a valve amp is a joy to behold!

I can’t recommend the Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai enough. It’s a fantastic thing and I too am still finding new uses for it. It’s like a musical instrument in itself.

You also talk of a treble booster – I assume you mean the ‘Screaming Bird’. Be careful here. It does seem to boost the treble but at the same time removes all bass from the signal. I keep mine on my board, but it has VERY limited use. Try before you buy.

Thank You EHX for producing so many wonderful overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedals!

I’ve just been looking at the range and the choice is bewildering!

    The xo range includes:

lpb1, Muff Overdrive, Double Muff, Germanium OD, Germanium 4 Big Muff, Bass Big Muff, Little Big Muff, Big Muff with Tone/Wicker and three Metal Muffs!

I’m running a Germanium OD + BMWTW + the 2 channels on my amp (and might get a Pocket Metal Muff soon) in an attempt to cover all the bases, but still feel I’m missing out….

I’m kind of glad I don’t have more cash, or my pedal board might not fit on the stage!

    Get one online.

You might very well live in one of ‘the biggest cities on the planet’, but I live in the middle of nowhere in the North East corner of England and I’ve got dozens of companies queueing up to send me their EHX products – offering next day delivery and excellent customer service as well as being cheaper than my local ‘dealer’.

    I don’t understand your problem.

That must’ve been great. How about Shellac, did that happen yet? I saw them at the Unitarian Church in Philly maybe a year and a half ago and it was excellent. Shellac may be my favorite band all-time. Them or Barkmarket.

Just to revive an old thread, I’ve recently become addicted to open G.

I just can’t stop playing bluesy slide stuff on my spare guitar (now pretty much permanently tuned to G).

Apart from the obvious ‘Stones’ stuff (Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Honkey Tonk Woman, Gimme Shelter) and some Eagles of Death Metal and Dandy Warhols (Bohemian Like You) – does anyone know of any other good tunes done in open G?

Thanks Guys …… I need to feed my habit!

Thank you once again Bill. I want a Freeze so much now it hurts!

I loved your demo of the Stereo Electric Mistress too. In fact, I now have your settings marked on my pedal!

Any chance you could demo more single pedals? Your videos are inspirational and help to show what a pedal can really do.

I can’t imagine a little vomit would make it stop working.

The only thing I could see is if it somehow got into a switch or a potentiometer.

I’ll omit the taking it apart thing. I’d just clean it. Take a piece of toilet paper and get most of it off, then take a slightly damp rag with some dish soap and clean it thoroughly.

    Then shoot the cat

It depends on your attack. The filter reacts to your picking and it is very sensitive to how hard you play each note. The differences in the volume/depth of the effect can be dramatic. I find that I have to even out my attack a little when I use it to get a consistent sound.
