He looked so cool when I was a kid in the 80’s. He made me want to play guitar. 20+ years later and I still think I’m him when I close my eyes on stage! :metal:
lol
TenSecondTedMemberFixed bridge.
I just sit my wrist bone on my LP tunamatic – the most comfortable position ever. Vibrato comes from the fingers.
Strat style trems just remind me of Hank Marvin. Bigsby’s are cool – they just look ‘rock and roll’ :rawk:
TenSecondTedMemberI resisted the temptation to pick up a black and yellow leotard 😆
I have always been a bit of a tremolo freak though and have often been tempted with a TR-2. I am so happy with my stereo pulsar now though (and I seem to be moving towards an exclusively ehx board) I don’t think I will ever get one.
TenSecondTedMemberI’m sure they make some great products, but I’ve only ever had one boss pedal – a DS-2, and I hated it. It made me sound like Stryper. Maybe I didn’t spend enough time with it before giving it to a mate.

Unbelievable Bill.

TenSecondTedMemberAnd so do I
TenSecondTedMemberInspirational stuff Bill.
In addition to ‘hilikus’, I would also like to know about possible applications for the photocell. For example, could I plug one into my Holy Stain to control pitch?October 27, 2009 at 7:34 pm in reply to: XO enclosures vs. Vintage enclosures — cast your vote. #102733TenSecondTedMemberXO
It’s strange that guitar players are so resistant to change. Left to our own devices we would all be playing blues licks on a pawn shop strat through an old valve amp that looks like it’s been dragged behind a truck for a few miles. THATS what ‘tone’ is baby!
TenSecondTedMemberi have been playing for many years and always seemed to get by without a compressor at all. I am interested that so many replies recommend the soul preacher. Am I missing out?
TenSecondTedMemberThere are enormous differences between the two. As darkaxel says, they sound very different. For me, in a live setting the SMMH is the one. I have mine set up with all of the presets I need for my performance, which saves me from fiddling with my pedalboard mid set.

TenSecondTedMemberI don’t know about a wah, but I heard that an expression pedal is pretty much the same as a volume pedal and to make one all you need is a volume pot and a single 1/4′ jack. Does anybody know if this is right? If so, I might make my own as I only need one for the pitch shift on my Holy Stain.
ThanksTenSecondTedMemberBeen considering making my own expression pedal for my Holy Stain. is it correct that all I need do is connect a volume pot to a single 1/4′ jack? Seems too simple…….
TenSecondTedMemberThe Nano Clone almost put me off EH pedals forever. It was the first EH pedal I ever bought, just as I was making those tentative steps from multi-effects to stompboxes. I picked it up to go with a Jeckyll & Hyde (lot cheaper than a H2O!). Horrible. It’s a good job I tried some other EH pedals otherwise I might have been put off for life. Pretty much everything else by EH sounds brilliant. Since then, my board is almost exclusively EH XO and Nano. Might even retire the Jeckyl & Hyde if my wife persuades Santa Claus to get me a Metal Muff.
The Nano Clone is a bad advert for EH and the sooner they retire it or replace it with a proper ‘Small Clone Nano’ the better. -
