*(awesome board, by the way!)
TenSecondTedMemberLooks pretty similar to how I would set it up.
Maybe the Micro Amp before the Tube Screamer?TenSecondTedMemberQuote:Alright, my question is this: looking at the switchblade plus, I am intrigued by the A+B side of the pedal and wondered if it would be possible to run your guitar into the input of the pedal, and have out A run through your pedal board into the first input of the amp, and have out B run directly into the second input of your amp, and then when activating the A+B side, end up with a blend of your wet signal and your dry signal coming through speakers of your amplifier? Also, with the other side of the switchblade, could you switch back and forth between the pedal board in channel A into input one of the amp, and channel B guitar direct into input two and go back and forth between a straight to amplifier sound and an effects sound? My amplifier is a Fender 410 Deville. Thanks. That’s EXACTLY how I use mine.
I run guitar into tuner > lpb-1 boost > Germanium OD > Switchblade……….
Then, one channel goes through the rest of my pedal board (Pocket Metal Muff > Bass Big Muff > Freeze > POG2 > Stereo Electric Mistress > Hazarai > Holy Stain) THEN into channel 1 of my amp (Vox AC15c) set pretty clean.
The other channel goes straight to channel 2 of my amp (set just at the point of break up).
That means I can switch channels on my amp, or overdrive/boost either channel (or both together) or ‘switch’ my pedal board on/off with one stomp on the Switchblade+ rather than tap dancing across loads of pedals.TenSecondTedMemberQuote:Nearly all EHX products are way too expensive.I don’t agree. I think EH products are usually very reasonably priced.
In fact, pedals like the Muff Overdrive, lpb-1, Pocket Metal Muff, big muff, Stereo Pulsar, Small Stone, Double Muff, Neo Clone, Memory Toy, Dr Q etc. are a real steal!
In fact, I don’t think the Tone Tattoo is particularly overpriced. I just think it should cost less than the stand-alone pedals.
TenSecondTedMemberGreat Demo!
However, I’m a bit confused about the price of the Tone Tattoo.
It looks like it will be approx £160 in the UK.
I can pick up all of the ‘component pieces’ (Pocket Metal Muff, Neo Clone, Memory Toy) for approx £140. Swapping for a Micro MM its £150, and just £172 for the full all singing all dancing MM with top boost.
Except for a noise gate, I’m not sure what the advantages are. It seems I’m paying slightly more for less flexibility???
Usually when I buy a 6 pack of Coke, it costs substantially less than 6 individual cans.
TenSecondTedMemberMine is similarly noisy (but maybe not as bad as yours sounds!)
It is pretty much unusable with the Wicker on or the Tone off – and only just bearable as a ‘standard’ Muff (I know muffs have a certain amount of noise, so I can live with that).
To be honest, the Tone/Wicker are pretty much redundant so I kind of wish I’d just got a regular ‘Little Big Muff’.
In fact, I’m thinking of swapping it for a ‘Bass Big Muff’ and trying that instead.
Sorry, this isn’t much of an answer – but I feel your pain!

The Neo Clone is quickly being my favorite effect pedal I own. I even sold my Small Clone because I loved my little Neo Clone so much. The Memory Toy and Neo Clone sound like a match made in heaven. I would of just put in a double muff instead but the Metal muff will have a lot more fuzz so you can still take it down. This is an amazing pedal and I’m excited for the release.
I agree about the Double Muff instead of Metal Muff.
Then I could just use the Tone Tattoo for band practices/small gigs (rather than lugging a huge pedalboard)
I suppose EHX have designed it to fit with the Holy Stain, as both pedals together seem to pretty much cover all the bases (OD/fuzz/reverb/trem/pitch/distortion/chorus/delay)
TenSecondTedMemberQuote:Quote:Second, I chose it for my Board for the Presets, and I honestly think there should be some method of cycling through presents without bending over. I would suggest added an external switch (or dual switch) to run through or toggle up/down through the presets.AZiltz
This. Please, please, please. I’m about to give up this product because its too unwieldy for live work — big PITA to be constantly bending over, and makes us look stupid and inept on stage , lol.

I’ve owned several and find that I never use them. They are just not my thing. This one is a cool concept, but it looks like you couldn’t freeze it in one spot with out rocking it back and hitting the calibrate button at the same time. Kind of hard to do without a bunch of roadies. I have no roadies.and…. is it always ‘on’?
It doesn’t look like you can switch if on/off (easily) to take it out of the chain.
I don’t use my wah very much at all either (usually only pushed fowards [rarely] as a treble boost) and I like the fact that it’s off and not colouring my sound when not in use.

TenSecondTedMemberSo the knob can be turned by foot?

My guess is a new synth/octave pedal.
A new, improved HOG?
(They share 2 of the same letters hOG eGO?)
TenSecondTedMember1- I don’t use a compressor at all, so can’t really recommend if the Soul Preacher or CS-3 is better. Either one should even out your attack.
2- Neo Clone is the same circuit as the Small Clone. Highly recommended.
3- I wouldn’t go for the Holy Stain, as it’s more a multi effects/distortion/pitchshifter/tremolo pedal (the clean reverb on the Holy Stain is excellent however). Might be worth looking at the Holy Grail?
4- DD-7 is excellent (as is DD-3 [cheaper]). Memory Boy Deluxe is an analogue pedal and nearly as expensive as a Hazarai. Lots of delay choices – it depends what you want it for.
5- Hum Debugger is not really a noise suppressor. It removes hum from the signal chain/single coil pickups. You might be better off with the NS-2I use my Switchblade to switch between the 2 channels of my amp as well as some of my effects.
My signal chain is:
Guitar > Wah > Tuner > GermOD > LPB-1 > Switchblade (‘output A’ to amp [top boost channel]) ‘output B’ to Big Muff > SEM > Pulsar > Hazarai > Amp (normal channel)
This means I can switch channels on my amp and/or switch off muff+modulation+delay just with one stomp. (I’m just about to upgrade to Switchblade+)I hope this makes sense!
TenSecondTedMemberI would recommend the Metal Muff. Probably the Top Boost version, as it has an EQ to dial in just the right tone.
Digital Delay? (Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is amazing)
Chorus? (Neo Clone?)Probably some compression? (Soul Preacher)
Maybe a Phase Shifter (Small Stone)(You would probably need a noise suppressor too)
I don’t play much Power Metal so I’m just guessing!
