I own one and I love the little thing. Sounds great to my ears. My only other delay pedal I’ve owned was a Line 6.
StubbornBardMemberQuote:… works pretty awesome on the Stratocaster. Now I must stop buying. You can’t tempt me to upgrade my Small Stone to a Stereo Polyhase. Uh-uh, ain’t gonna work.So it eliminates the hum from switch positions 1 and 5 completley? Does it only silence the hum during pauses, or does it also silence it during play?

Octave Multiplexer
Germanium 4 Big Muff
Freeze
Holy Stain
Metal Muff
Clone Theory
Memory Toy
Neo MistressStill own them all and they are basically what makeup my board. Other than a volume and wah by other companies.
StubbornBardMemberQuote:something that did it for me was taking a wire, touch it to and tape it to any metal in my rig (metal chassis, 1/4″ metal cable) and the other end in the ground of an outlet. made it go from really loud buzz to nothing but guitar. try it out but make sure to put it in the ground on the outlet. if you hit hot, it could cause alot of problemsHey man. Thanks for the tip. I was able to fix my problem already though. My Metal Muff and Octave Multiplexer were the problems, they required using the EHX 9.6v vs the regular 9v, they both made a ton of noise using just a 9v adapter.
StubbornBardMemberWell I resolved my problem. I tore my entire board apart and hooked up each pedal one by one. Come to find out, the Metal Muff and Octave Multiplexer both require the 9.6v ac adapter or they will make tons of noise. All my other EHX pedals worked fine with the standard 9v wall warts. The Clone Theory did get a little noisier using the 9v but not much. Did some adapter rearranging and all is well now. I’m ordering 9.6v adapters for the rest of my EHX pedals just to be completely noise free.
Pedals setup:
Morley Volume 9v
Dunlop Cry Baby Wah 9v
Octave Multiplexer 9.6v
Metal Muff 9.6v
Freeze 9v
Holy Stain 9v
Clone Theory 9v
Memory Toy 9v
Nano Mistress 9vHope this helps someone else.
RadioShack 9v 300ma adapters + EHX Pedals = Noise Hell
StubbornBardMemberNow I’m completely stumped. I bought a battery backup, charged it, unplugged it from the wall, and ran my amp and 2 pedals completley off of the batteries and I still have the noise problem. So it’s not my houses power that’s causing it. Any help?
StubbornBardMemberThe best recommendation I’ve gotten was a Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi from EHX support. Haven’t been able to try one out yet. Anybody here have one?
