Are you kidding! Where are you getting the information from. THe Holy Grail (original large casing) clearly states on it as having 9v/500mA. Maybe the HG plus only needs 225mA. Thats not what I have. My question was referencing as to what output I possibly can use with the TRex power supply having a total of 1500mA. 8 at 500 total, 2 at 500ma each Which is more than plenty for my needs! Period!

This is an ongoing problem period! It has absolutely nothing to do with going through the front of a dirty amp or not! Besides these were meant to go before amps anyway and don’t particulary sound that much better in the effects loop section of an amp, let alone cancelling out any pops or clicks.

EHX was started in the early days when effects were being used more and more. Ie: Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Deep Purple etc etc. A certain amount of noise was either acceptable or simply put up with back then, given the present state of technology at the time. These are not $200 to $300 high end boutique pedals. Maybe thats why they are not modified to eliminate noise like more expensive pedals.

The effects sounds with EHX pedals are awesome however and that is why they still sell. Some musicians probably use some noise cancelling device-which is more bullshit and another unnecessary pedal to have in a chain. EHX simply ought to upgrade their product range with moden electronics!

    Hi,

I use The Holy Grail along with the Small Clone chorus for bass along with various other effects. As a bassist the Holy Grail is awesome and provides enough reverb and color with the three different settings, it is simple with only one knob! I have not tried the other reverbs from EHX but have heard then here as sound samples and on Youtube. They also sound great too! I have loved EHX products for years. There are some glitches however that I feel need to be addressed by the company.

EHX needs to upgrade the electonics a bit more as to eliminate the “click” when engaging a pedal and the Holy Grail (AC only) does not like any other effect plugged in with it as an anoying “whistle” sound is produced (not hum). I have to use batteries with my other effects because of this- very anoying. I have an SKB powered pedal board with the following-Vox volume, Fender PT100 tuner, an EHX Bassballs(new nano size), an MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz follwed by the Small Clone and Holy Grail,
