You can probably find some video demos on YouTube for bass guitar
StormbringerMemberjust got one ehx says to place it before any drive pedals-fuzz, dist, od,etc
StormbringerMemberEven when I held down the strings as soon as I engaged the pedal effect it made this crazy noise on certain patches very annoying
StormbringerMemberYeah I just tried this affect out and yes it’s definitely very noisy on some factory presets
StormbringerMemberI have both the Micro Pog and the POG 2 and they both track well on bass for the most part. If you go down to the lowest registers or use a 5 or 6 string bass it could be a little less effective but in the higher registers- no problem.
StormbringerMemberOh well I suppose I probably will not be buying it although I do think it’s a great pedal. iBut who wants to keep bending down in a live performance situation. Thats what I do not like about the Cathedral versus the Pog 2 or Ring Thing or any other pedal of that size that has presets!
StormbringerMemberI prefer to have a mixture of petals not just specifically one brand. I do have a fair amount of the EHX pedals though! So unless I was getting a sizable discount or I worked for the company or I was the guy who dies all those videos for them and getting all the petals for free you wouldn’t normally see that many petals of one manufacture on my board!
StormbringerMemberI have this pedal and have no problem with it whatsoever, Its simply a faulty pedal that’ he happens to have.
StormbringerMemberI’m a bass guitarist and have two pedal boards that I alternate between using. Both have a fair amount of EHX pedals-some newer and some older. Here are my boards!
StormbringerMemberInteresting! I have the Freeze pedal at the top of my board. In using the foot switch, I sometimes move the knobs on adjacent pedals. The other pedals are a bit taller. I am wondering if a “taller” shaft footswitch can be made to use in the pedal to clear the height from the others in front of it!
December 6, 2013 at 1:26 am in reply to: Electro-Harmonix has released the new Nano Big Muff #119557StormbringerMemberHas anyone tried the new Nano Big Muff with a bass guitar? I am sure it will sound great but would just like to know if it will work with the lower frequencies. I generally use “bass specific” pedals!
StormbringerMemberThus my point-Look what’s out there already with other”boutique” pedals offering both functions fairly well. EHX has other “combo” pedals already, so whats the big deal? I already have a big pedalboard with seperate pedals. The whole idea was to condense down to a few while not sacrificing sound quality. Hopefully, John Pisani will read this, get the message and design something like this!
StormbringerMemberI use it with my Fender Jaguar Bass which has both passive and active pickups. Np apparant problem with either. With the active selecter on it just seems more punchier. I would call EHX and speak to a tech about it!
StormbringerMemberI had just noticed this post while waiting for the Memory Boy official release. I called various vendors to see if they have either received it, is on order or in lieu of being shipped with an ETA.
No one including Pro Guitar Shop, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, Even Ludlow guitars here in NYC was aware of this. That is why I called EHX directly to see what dealers are getting it in for certain.
I was met with an answer to the effect of not having that information! What’s up with that? Any company should have a ‘list” or computer base file of such shipments to provide to customers!
C’mon Lets Go Team!!!
StormbringerMemberYea, I suppose that they will be released in August. Thats because when I first noticed the Memory Boy, it was on John Pisani’s desk (hope I spelt that right) when he was showing the Screaming Bird a few blogs back. Now thats what I call a tease. Well at least from a musicians point of view LOL. I then called EHX directly and was told that August would likely be the release month. I was just hoping to get a response here Ha ha. Corporate dancing around as usual LOL! Cant blame me for trying!
