man…at the local store, my friend, who works there, call dibs on the Germanium!!…saw him try it out, it REALLY sounds like a toneful boost to me…or maybe he didn’t have it set right or something. Personally, I’m happy with the six or seven distortion pedals, so I’m not in a rush to buy a germanium.
souljah671Membertell me about it. I just bought an RC-50, and I found a great deal after that. Three Boss pedals, all still in the box, for 150…I don’t even have too many gigs anymore…
souljah671MemberI’m from the amazingly humid island of Guam. Right now, it’s the coldest it’ll ever be all year. We only have two seasons, dry and rainy.
souljah671MemberYou know…I remember someone telling me that Gold-tipped cables don’t last long in cold-areas. I live on an island where there’s only sunny or rainy weather, and my island is very humid. I’m assuming gold-tipped cables last longer in humid, warm places?
souljah671MemberIt’d be cool to see what kind of features they’d put on it. Pigtronix just came out with this thing called a Keymaster…looks like a useful pedal. Wish EHG had something like this.
souljah671Memberthank you! one of my guitarist buddies told me he really notices the difference when he uses gold-tipped pedal couplers for his pedalboard. I have both and I don’t hear any difference in sound quality at all. Nothing’s quieter than the other or anything like that.
souljah671Memberit was the cable afterall…thanks
November 24, 2010 at 5:45 am in reply to: Can you use one exp. pedal for 2 effects simultaneously? #112713souljah671MemberI was just about to try this out with my volume/pan pedal from ErnieBall…now I gotta read and experiment carefully, thanks for the information!
souljah671Membercrap, that could be it. I remember that cord giving me problems before. It was one of those gold-tipped cables where you cut the length to however long you want. I knew it was something stupid like that, sorry to waste your time, thanks though.
souljah671Memberok thanks. I don’t use my compressor that often, so I was just wondering
souljah671MemberIs it always best to put a compressor after an envelope filter?
Also, I’ve put my lpb before my q-tron + and with my Fender Strat, it does the trick, nicely–turning the lpb on, I can vary the attack with my volume knob; turning the lpb off makes a very subtle envelope filter-sound…
souljah671MemberI’ve had the GraphicFuzz for a few months now. I used to only use it as an EQ after my two distortion pedals (Digitech Hardwire Tube and Valve distortions) and honestly…I don’t even use the hardwire distortions kus the graphicfuzz’s distortion (and I call it this because it far surpasses a conventional fuzz, IMO) gives me everything I need in a distortion unit, BUT with a better eq to shape the particular distortion you want. I’m glad because my pedalboard is starting to make me look like a hoarder lol
souljah671MemberI wish that whole “your favorite distortion pedal in the return of your amp” thing worked with my amp…the effects loop only works when both send/return are in use
souljah671MemberFender Jazz Chorus…sounds nice. Thanks for the comment, definitely gotta look into that cusack screamer (kus I know how a lot of guitarists are picky with their distortions).
souljah671Memberman…wish it weren’t always the case of “getting the older version”
Thanks for the feedback, now I’m gonna look into trying to find an older version, possibly.
You know, for some reason…my amp won’t let me use just the return of my effects loop, wish it worked kus my Digitech Valve and Tube distortions, I would love to use as my main preamp, since I only have solid-state amps…
