All of the expression pedal controls mentioned above sound cool. I am a rabid lover of the 2880 and couldn’t see myself without one unless… You were to improve the device with a few things. I would like an effect loop so i could process the tracks with external devices as i see fit. (imagine my POG or Qtron+ creeping in on various tracks of a loop!) An onboard tap tempo would also be grand so i would be able to change tempos mid song, going from a loose amorphous looping improv to a locked in groove. I know you are moving towards a smaller footprint with most of your pedals but i wouldnt mind if the new and improved 2880 was rack mountable like the painfully discontinued Electrix Repeater. You already make one of the best loopers available but with these few additions you would have the greatest looper ever built! Do it!
