Well, then I´ll have to replace mine. It´s very useful, but It´s not meant to be a distortion pedal…

My Pulsar has incredible amounts of distortion. Seems to depend on the input level!? If I turn the volume knob of my Fender Elite Strat down to 6, the distortion is gone. But between 6 and 10 the amount of distortion is unbearable. None of my other pedals (digital or analog) behave like that. Is this a common behavior of the stereo pulsar? My elite strat has has a built in pre-amp, but I don´t know if this could cause the distortion…

But the Deluxe Electric Mistress doesn´t have chorus, right?

That’s a tough one, because the only major difference between flanger and chorus is the delay time. Flangers typically have less delay time than a chorus. The Deluxe Electric Mistress has a delay time that is long enough to create a chorusy effect…. Just hear how Andy Summers or David Gilmour used the Mistress circa 1980.

I didn´t know that the only difference is the delay time. Anyway, the Stereo Electric Mistress is exactly what I was looking for. I use it together with a HOG. I could spend days and weeks with these pedals, without getting bored.

They were definitely worth the money, although I´m not very satisfied with the sound, that comes from the HOG´s ORIGINAL slider. The manual says, that “the ORIGINAL voice is your DRY signal”. But the sound from the DRY slider is not the same as the sound from the ORIGINAL slider, which sounds rather “synthetic”, with less bite and crisp.

But the Deluxe Electric Mistress doesn´t have chorus, right? I had to choose between Stereo and Deluxe, and I took the Stereo Electric Mistress. I love the combination of flanger and chorus! Normally I prefer analogue pedals, but in this case I made an exception. It sounds magic.

Looked at it that way, no… You can actually just contact EHX or send the unit right back, if it is broken. Therefor you´ve got the warranty. It´s that easy, isn´t it?
I´m very happy with the support, I got a satisfying answer very quickly. I was just thinking of the complaints in several forums. Anyway, I really appreciate this forum and I love EHX products. Their pedals have something like a soul living in their metal shells. I wish, everybody was as happy as me.

Recently I´ve had a question about an EHX pedal and tried to get some answers here in the forum, but no way. Maybe nobody owns this unit. Then I wrote to EHX and got a satisfying answer within 3 days! Lucky me… But I have already heard lots of complaints about EHX customer support, even in other forums. Is there any chance to wake these guys up and bring them to mind, that there are many many disappointed customers out there?? There are lots of problems that can´t be solved by a community… What about a “Complaint Thread”?

No malfunction. EHX told me, that this behaviour is noticeable on all HOGs.
