I have the same problem but on a reissue eh4800 small stone. Any idea where the red wire goes from the LED? Thanks!
sinesightMemberUPDATE: pedal still works after replacing the resistor but I think I messed up the eyelet but all is well except the led wont turn on because one red wire is detached. Im going to find where it goes and hopefully start fresh!
sinesightMemberSo bad news… I installed a 100k trimpot and had no luck but the signal was still flowing through clean from the guitar. I then removed the trimpot and replaced it with a 10k resistor which I previously had in it. Now it was sending a clean signal but now it doesnt work. There is no phasing efffect. I also accidentally removed a power wire that was red so now I will try to fix that because now the pedal wont turn on. I major fail at my first attempt but I will keep trying.
sinesightMemberGreat! When im finished ill post some pics and update here in case anyone else needs help like I did haha thanks for all your help!!!
sinesightMemberUS. I found pedal parts plus.com and it looks legit. Does trim pot wattage and percentage matter?
sinesightMemberHaha oh im aware ! I just learned to solder this week and i can tell! Where can I buy a trimpot that you would recommend? Once again thanks for all your help!
sinesightMemberSo remove the resistor entirely with the trim pot and solder it to the pcb and this will control volume of the pedal? Is a 100k trim pot okay to use?
sinesightMemberAh okay im new to all this so thanks for clearing that up! If i wanted to solder a trim pot to the resistor how would I do that?
sinesightMemberWill this work in the small stone eh4800 as well? I changed resistor r6 to 10k but still not as much volume as id like thanks!
sinesightMemberHey there im about to buy a RI small clone so youre saying LOWERING the resistor raises the volume?
