I just got one. I didn’t reaslly like the sound at first, I suspected the internal trim settings. I think they are conservative in the settings. I did some research, found info on setting up the oringal electric mistress. Here’s the deal, I think. The top two pots should only be adjusted very slightly, one is controlling voltage, I don’t recall the other. But if you put those out too far, more than a degree or two in either direction. The bottom two are more adjustable. if you adjust too far, self oscillation may occur, so back off if that happens.

Anyway, i used to borrow the late 70s one, in the late 70’s, and always screwed with the internal pots to get a good sound. I’m 100% convinced Gilmour’s was also tweaked. You’ll love this pedal after you get that figured out. one note, I am pretty sure you’ll have to be careful, on my current tweaks, I just noticed that the direct out is actually causing a boost. I haven’t trouble shot it yet so it could have been a cable, but it also may be the voltage. According to the propaganda sheet the direct is straight from input, so this should be impossible, but I don’t know. But in any case, if you only use it with boost or distortion this could be desirable. The best way to use this new pedal is with two amps, both slightly distorted, I’m using the direct out into a little blackstar head, into a V30, the flange out into the FX loop on a Mustang III, Celestion Hot T-100. This combination sounds totally awesome with this pedal, real 3D sound. I strongly considered the MOOER, and may even get one some day, but trust me, this pedal kicks total ass, if you get the internals the way you like them. Use two amps, and the direct out. Good Luck!
