I can’t really say for sure how you yourself would hear it — but it is the exact same circuit — but with that said, I’m still entirely sure we’re going to hear endless debate on which one sounds better…
Quote:I don’t mean to be rude…but did anyone else think that sucked.I don’t really get the hostile reaction to this clip. Sure, he’s not a singer, but it seemed to me he did a good job looking at several of the Voice Box’s features (whereas most other Voice Box videos I’ve seen have focused on one or two).
What was so terrible about it?
Quote:I was talking to my guitar teacher today about earth day and i mentioned this to him and he told me about how he actually went on the truck and demoed some pedals on it!!!!That’s so great, and thanks for sharing that info here — see, I don’t make this stuff up! -Scott
Quote:great, now i have to add that truck to my list-of-things-to-find-for-the-collection.😆 :thumb:
Quote:is it safe to say i will get the classic when ordering?Since it’s such a recent change, I think the best best is to first contact your preferred dealer(s) and explain which you want — in the US, right now, most dealers probably have the classic. And now they can also get the new DMM.
Quote:Is the below correct on the limited packaging? How do i work with a dealer to get one of these? Is the cost the same? Is there a special SKU#?Thanks!
Quote:Quote:And the bix box DMM may be brought back, but it’s still unlikely.EHX BLOG 2020 The return of the classics:
We are pleased to announce a limited run of several classic EHX pedals in their vintage style cases, all come with a wooden box and a reproduction of a mid 1990’s EHX catalogue, the classic reissue range will include the deluxe memory man, small stone, small cone and big muff (limited to 10,000 units each) and the q-tron and graphic fuzz (limted to just 5,000)
:rawk:
Hey tdrews — are you talking about what electro-melx wrote? (ie, he was just goofing) Or are you asking after the DMM?
fwiw, I just added an “update” (down at the bottom):
Quote:I’m really curious to see more about that science hall, didn’t you have pictures of it Ron?I’m also very interested in trade show pictures, also for other guitar effect booths at 70’s NAMM shows
fwiw, in that first picture of the truck — you see the “Park” sign across the street? The Hall of Science was immediately next door, to the right.
Quote:GreatYou should post much more old EH pictures Scott!
The factory, that science hall thing?,…
I just received some old EH papers last week: one is about a visit to the factory by Rolling Stone magazine.
Thanks. fwiw, there are a few “EHX Vault” things I’d like to write about — but I’m also always interested to hear any suggestions, so don’t be shy!
ps: I was around for the umbrella truck, it’s a fond memory.
Quote:Errr… I’m still trying to figure out the difference in not being able to get the old version because it’s been discontinued and not being able to get the old one because it’s unavailable… :poke: I mean, how long is it going to remain unavailable? My understanding is that these are very likely the last classic DMMs.
Quote:LOLThere’s just no pleasing everyone, is there?
Actually, this isn’t about any complaints, it just seems like an all-around win:
1) if you’ve been waiting for the new DMM, now you can get it
2) you can continue to get the classic design
3) folks in Europe can also now get the classic
So it just seemed better for everybody.
I’ll be posting a bit of news soon And, welcome to the EHX forums, Snufkin!
Quote:But no Deluxe Memory Man :angry:More like: But no Deluxe Memory Man
Quote:So who’s bird is that? Does it live in the factory? I remember seeing it in the Boing Boing factory tour. I keep a few birds, but no cockatoos at the moment. It’s Mike’s — I should go update the post…
