Quote:I wish someone would upload something using the vocoder though… That’s the feature I will probably end up buying this box for.
Hopefully we’ll have our “official” demos soonish — and perhaps more new Voice Box owners will continue to post clips showing off the various features of the Voice Box…

Very, very cool.
Can you possibly also do video? :poke:
So, if *somebody* can knock out an appropriate image or video, I can then make it into a Merry EHXmas blog post on the main site…
Y’all are the first to see this:
https://www.ehx.com/products/voice-boxI’m still adding stuff (eg, the instructions and bullet point should be coming soon) — and we’re hoping to add a video sometime next week.
Standard tuning?
That really is great — does the guy have a Web site? Mind sharing roughly how much it set you back?
arrg, what am i missing?

it has been advertised as: “maze” once, though…
and: yep, one of the first 5 production pedals did have printing on the side…
(dunno `bout the current ones…)oh, yes, and it did come in a russian pinewood slidetopbox!
Interesting! So you don’t remember any being screened ‘tube maze’ either? Plot thickens!
If *anybody* should be attached to the old-school enclosures, it would be me — but I really do like the newer diecast boxes. Just my 2 cents…

I just checked mine (which I’ve had for years) and it says ‘envelope filter + distortion’ — you’re saying you’ve seen newer ones screened ‘tube maze’? Or is that one old too?
It strikes me as rather odd — as I can’t really see why the screen would have been changed (knobs may certainly change from time to time, but that’s a very simple swap — but changing the screen takes lots more intentional effort).
Curious!
Quote:Scott, when did ‘envelope filter + Distortion’ change into ‘tube maze’ or vice/versa?Not quite sure I’m following you?
To chime in with the others, the Tube Zipper has long been one of my personal favorites — it somehow always feels like a natural extension. Personally, I don’t use the self-oscillation much — one of my favorite settings was to make the filter a bit sensitive, and to then play a heavy rhythm through it so that it was always engaged, and then lighten up and play a muted rhythm so the filter could disengage. Sounded really cool. And yes, I like the distortion too.
fwiw, I just dug through Jack’s clips, and these ones seem to have some EHX — really, all of Jack (and Nataly/Pomplamoose)’s stuff is worth checking out…

I don’t know all the particulars of the Mogwai Pi, but my first guess is that it must have been a stock Muff with a custom screen (but I’m also happy to be corrected…).
