Don’t act like you are superior to the oppressed youth of this country. Just because I have not lived for a certain number of years, my opinion and thoughts have no merit? What kind of shit is that?
Hey Costch: I’m totally happy you’re part of the community here, and I’m also hoping you can help us to keep the conversation at “better than YouTube” quality.
Reading through this thread, I think there’s no reason to dismiss your thoughts on account of your age (whatever it may be) and I can see how that could piss you off. Personally, I don’t care how old you are, I’m glad you’re here.
To put it elsewise, I see dismissing somebody for his/her age to be roughly the same as dismissing somebody as being “emo” — neither has a place here — and I also think the forums read better if we remain somewhat mindful of the language we choose to use.
Thanks, -Scott

Quote:Especially my one friend, he thinks he’s actually better at playing the real guitar than me because he can play through the fire and flames on expert and everything else on expert when he never even picked up a guitar!!I’m serious! Ask him if he might be willing to make a figurine with an EHX shirt & let me know what he says!
My understanding is that buy/sell/trade sections can often lead to a lot of bad vibes, and tend to require a lot of careful maintenance — so, that’s why we don’t have one here (at least not at this time) — obviously, you can also find buy/sell/trade sections within other forums.
That said, I’m also not dead-set against having a buy/sell/trade section here — so everybody is free to chime in here — but if it’s going to take a lot of oversight and lead to bad vibes, then perhaps we should keep this a “commerce free zone.”
Quote:I played Guitar Hero 2 a few times at my friends’, found it to be not that interesting. It’s fun, yes, but not something I would want to spend time and money one.
Now, if they released Drum Hero, that would be something to check out, since it would actually help in learning how to play drums. Is your friend into it? I’m itching to see one of those figurines!
Do you play the game?
It’s also the RoHS compliant version — I gather you’re in Europe?
fwiw, we got re-blogged, with some additional info:

Hey, thanks for those! I just added them to the Bi-Filter page:
https://www.ehx.com/products/bi-filter (see “Additional Info” over to the right)
If you happen to have any other suggestions of more links I should add to this (or any other) EHX page, please let me know! (either here, or via email)
Thanks again! -Scott
Thanks for that Ton, very special!
fyi, I just updated the post to now include vintage Golden Throat promotional art — it’s quite groovy, so go check it out…

Quote:although, I’m kind of at a point where I don’t think there is much left to discover….which is kind of sad, whenever I start a ‘recommend me some music’ thread it’s almost 100% stuff I listen to already or don’t like much. The world is big! As for me, I actually finally managed to find a niche within Jazz that I like. I’ve periodically tried to like Jazz several times over the years, but nothing ever clicked. But apparently, I really like free/avant-garde from the ’60s, such as Albert Ayler, Pharaoh Saunders, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Ornette Coleman, etc.
So keep looking & listening!
Just curious — when somebody suggests an album, and if you want to give it a listen, what do you actually do?
As for me, I mostly use Rhapsody, and I quite like it.

(NB: You can see the difference if you compare the pic to the ProGuitarShop video, which seems to have the older chassis.)
Quote:Any Madness fans here?Back in high school I was very much into ska — Madness, English Beat, Fishbone — I still remember those Fishbone shows as some of the most fun I’ve had at concerts!
