kind of off topic but helpful: I had to replace my russian muff’s sustain pot and did it with a regular linear 100k pot, tried to make fit the original knob but I couldn’t. I don’t care since the shaft is blue (yea, I don’t have a knob for it. Actually I do, but it fits wrong) and it looks nicer and unique. Mine was just a little bit wider than the original so by just milimeters it did not fit, so I perforated the chassis and now it’s great. I think changing the pot changed the tone a bit, to me, it’s better.

Just check the amperage, but yes, you can do that.

It’s not a problem since being a high gain pedal it should feedback like so. If you don’t like that noise you have 2 choices.

1) Back off on the pedal’s volume knob (and probably amp)
2) When you aren’t playing just roll off your vol knob on the guitar.

Personally I love that feedback between chords, or just before playing, kind of what Cobain did mostly live.

Well, I was going for a squier, since I don’t have the extra $ for a fender. I was thinking of any from the vintage modified series, specially the SH one.
