or maybe the batteries are carbon ones and they get drained very quickly, idk.

Try this: Plug the HOG into your amp but don’t put anything before it. If it makes noise, could be the PS or the electronics. Maybe your cables are a bit noisy and the hog takes that as input signal.

Bill Ruppert does a sweet mellotron in his Effectology series.

I was too lazy to check if there was an episode about the mellotron, but here’s the link to it

One more question on the Memory Toy. What’s the current draw of the pedal, I didn;t see that listed on the product page.

The Memory Toy’s current draw is 25 mA. That is an official EHX answer. :)

Definitely not more than 12VDC to power the Memory Toy. More voltage will damage it.

Got confused with a post of yours that said that the memory BOY consumed 45mA.

If you don’t want more gain, put it at the end of the chain instead. The fx loop may solve it too, but try putting it at the end of the board to see if it helps. Consider that its not the same increasing the volume of a dist than increasing it’s input gain. Also remember that every booster it’s aumenting the gain (increasing volume). You may refer to distorting the signal maybe? Another thing you can make is to try an eq.

it’s known that the MB may not oscillate and it may have a short delay time, and that’s due to the power source. With what ps are you powering it up?

Good to hear! Was the flanger and qtron on when it worked? or just by adding them to the chain was enough? Maybe it had to do with impedances, idk really.

It would bring up the sax level up, and the fuzz will capture it. Maybe won’t work, maybe it will. Do it, it is a good a idea.

Cathedral is good indeed, but it’s flooded with functions that for his simple purposes, would be too much. But since you discover new usable sounds out of a pedal that you wouldn’t tought of, the cathedral is the best idea. Besides, if you have the money and you like the tone, then def. get the cathedral
