Or am I better off simply trying to find a used Soul Preacher? Mind you that although I own a Big Muff Pi for fuzz, I don’t own a distortion pedal.

These do not seem like concordant statements in my mind.

I mean, why would whether or not you should get a soul preacher be dependant on whether you own a distortion pedal?

and also you realize the element of a distortion that makes it a distortion is having clipping diodes, yeah? which the big muff pi has?

Sorry if I may have misled you here: What I’m trying to say is that I am seeking a compressor, and was wondering if the Graphic Fuzz would fulfill my needs for such a pedal. I was curious to see if, when in the “clean” mode, the Graphic Fuzz would, using the “sustain” slider, allow for increased sustain. Thanks to The EH Man, I’ve learned that this is only possible when in the “Fuzz” mode.

Ideally, it would have been nice to have that compression/sustain feature when on the “clean” mode as well, because considering that the Graphic Fuzz has an excellent distortion, I wouldn’t need to hang on to my Big Muff. Essentially, I was hoping to combine a clean compression/sustain and distortion into one pedal, which I was hoping would be the Graphic Fuzz. Of course, I now know that’s not the reality.

Thanks for the replies friends! I’ll be keeping my eye out for a Soul Preacher now

So you’re looking to accomplish something like Moog’s delay does with their Spillover Mod?

If so, I’m also curious as to how it could be done. It’s a brilliant feature. Too bad EHX didn’t think of it when designing the SMMH
