Not 100% sure but I’m under the impression that it’s been like this since I got it, I was using a Boss RC-5 with a footswitch since I didn’t have my old 720 with me on tour and ended up trading for a brand new 1440 while on tour and immediately noticed that the first loop wasn’t lasting for the entirety of the layering part I mentioned.
So I still think of it as my “new looper”
If it’s just a broken potentiometer is there any chance that a local tech could service it?

February 1, 2024 at 1:04 pm in reply to: 1440 Firmware Update V0.60 – Additional MIDI Control / Bug Fixes #208595SabandijaVorazParticipantHello, I’m having another issue with my 1440, whenever I start overdubbing the first loop eventually gets erased or disappears, no matter if I have the overdub knob dimed it ends up disappearing. Again another issue that wasn’t there with the 720. Once more defeated by new features I’m not really using other wise, the layering and stacking of loops is the main reason I use it, one of our songs has a part where there are stabbing chords looped and then wailing bends drenched in reverb sound kind of like a siren over a buzzing alarm…but after the first wailing overdub the stabs just disappear. Am I doing anything wrong? In the manual it says that if I set the overdub knob at max then previous audio levels should remain constant but that definitely is not the case in practice. Stacking more than just two layers is a big part of the fun of using a looper, and once again my “upgraded” looper isn’t performing as my previous unit. I really appreciated the firmware update that let each bank remember the FX and settings, so if there’s any way you guys could look into this issue I’d be grateful once again.

June 8, 2023 at 7:01 pm in reply to: 1440 Firmware Update V0.60 – Additional MIDI Control / Bug Fixes #199536SabandijaVorazParticipantWell at least we agree that this is worse, not very intuitive.
Do you have an estimate of when you’ll know if this can be fixed with a firmware update or not? if not this is the kind of information that should be in the manual somewhere so people know what they’re getting in to, it’s not a cheap pedal and this kind of detail is definitely a downgrade, I loved my 720 looper and bought this one because I thought it was an improved version.
Also noticed that the 1-shot button setting also doesn’t save with each memory slot, which would definitely be useful, I’m mostly running the looper for looping parts during live performance but I also have the reverse loop as interlude between songs and a 1-shot sample before the end, it would be ideal to just select the memory slot for each application and have the unit remember all the settings.
June 8, 2023 at 2:42 am in reply to: 1440 Firmware Update V0.60 – Additional MIDI Control / Bug Fixes #199530SabandijaVorazParticipantHello there!
Just purchased a brand new 1440 looper as an upgrade to my older 720 unit, however I have a problem when changing to a memory slot that I want to be in reverse.
In the 720 the reverse button setting would be saved with each memory slot, however in the 1440 pressing the reverse button means it stays engaged when I switch to a different memory slot that I don’t want reversed and it doesn’t remember it being engaged when I switch to a memory slot where I had it engaged.I wonder if this could be fixed in a future firmware update?
I haven’t really been able to dive deeper into the new features of the unit since this almost makes it feel like a downgrade to be honest. I’m already in the process of selling my older 720 unit and I’d hate for the new, more expensive unit I bought as an “upgrade” to do less of what I need it to.Any feedback would be appreciated.
