Hey, I had the same problem. Then I did this. I turned the pitch knob fully CCW and the problem was solved. No one sound when I play, but not sing. Thanks.

Ho, ho, ho!!! After a whole weekend reading hundreds of sites about MIDI, I got it!!! I’ve found the free software MidiPipe (for Mac). So I could add a slide controller, define CC 125 to it and turn the slider to “0”, and…voilà!!! All channels were receiving information and I could play the V256 with the guitar plugged in my Roland GR-20. Great pedal !!!!!!! (and now I know a lot of things about MIDI…good).

Ok, now I know what I have to do (“send the “OMNI ON” to V256 through channel 16). But how do I do this??? How can I send the command OMNI ON (CC 125 – “0”)??? Can I send this command from Studio Logic Pro??? Thank you.

Oops, I think I found the solution. If I set the OMNI to ‘ON’, the V256 will receive the informations through all channels. But to do this, I have to make the first connection through the channel 16. Is it correct?

Ok, the default setting is channel 16, but I have a guitar synth Roland GR-20 and this unit uses only channels 1 to 11 to send information. So I can’t play the V256 synth through the midi out of the GR-20. Can I change the setting of the default channel (16) of the V256??? This would be awesome!!! Thank you.
