    There should be some glow it is not that bright

    there is a led on the pcb of my hot tubes to give the illusion that they are cooking maybe this is outshining the tubes

    have you looked at it in the dark ?

    I recently repaired a Hot tubes pedal and i dont think the tube pedals are true bypass in the traditional way because the 3dpt switch only had three lugs and only two are connected to wires
    a normal bypass wiring uses most of the 9 pins of a 3pdt switch

    I have heard to test if a pedal is true bypass you should be able to get a clean signal through the pedal when there is no power present by clicking the footswitch in to the off position

    ok update sort of guessed the wiring of the switch and i now have sound for the first time

    but it is now making a high pitched buzz squeal sound when you switch on the pedal not through the amp but the actual pedal makes a loud noise

    think it is coming from the L7812cv voltage regulator this is the component that i had to re-solder to get power

    maybe this component has failed has anyone else ever had this ?

    Yes it is a standard true bypass switch with only three working connnections to solder to the rest have been sawed off there are two wires coming from the pcb
