The 2880’s current draw is approximately 345mA. Using MIDI will bring it up to about 350mA.

    Thanks, good to know.

if the draw is only up to 350mA, where does the 500mA figure come from?

What’s the current draw for a 2880 if you’re not using MIDI?

I know the draw is listed at 500mA on the pedal itself, but I spoke to a guy recently who said that a lot of that current would be powering MIDI, so without MIDI the draw would actually be much less. Can anyone confirm this?

Don’t you hate it when you have a very specific issue with a piece of gear, then you finally find others who have the same problem but no one has a solution! I just started having this same problem, has anyone managed to get theirs fixed??

Mine also has a weird extra glitch where the ‘Punch In’ LED flashes at random intermittently.

I just took my 2880 to someone who repairs pedals to get it looked at and before he even opened it up he said it was unlikely he would be able to fix it since it has a processor inside, rather than capacitors and things. Most likely the way to fix it would be to replace the whole motherboard, as it would be time-consuming and expensive to go through an isolate the specific component that has failed, then the cost of parts on top of that.

Hs advice to me was to start looking for another one :(
