Thanks for the reply. I decided to delve a little deeper today. I could really use a schematic but, absent that I believe the problem could be at the voltage regulator at U6 because, well, there are 9V going in and 0V going out. Would anyone who knows how to measure voltage across a live board safely be able to do a quick value check at U6? Sorry if that sort of question is not permitted here.
