Computer effects don’t require brains hah. There are many ways you can run your pedals.

Usually people tell you to run your overdrive/distortion in first, through the regular input, and delays and reverbs through the effects loop. The fact of the matter is that running those delays and reverbs through the effects loop don’t really change the sound. I usually just run my delay last in the signal chain, then over drive or what ever.

As for plugging straight into your duet, it depends on what you want to do, if you want to plug just your guitar, you have to make sure the duet has a preamp (idk if it does or doesn’t), same goes for if you want to plug your guitar through your effects and into your duet.
