Yes,, I read that. Just not always the clearest though if you don’t have the unit in front of you to reference. So I figure the above is right, but not definite…
PiplodocusMemberI worked it out! It’s just like the freeze with the layer knob fully ccw, but layers to whatever desired degree when the layer knob is set higher! Correct?
Hmmm, now I need to work out if I can shoehorn it’s extra size into my already rammed pedalboard!
PiplodocusMemberSo in latch mode with the freeze when you hit the button it *replaces* the current freezes note with a new one.
If superego does the same how do you layer sounds? Else if hitting the button in latch mode *layers* (not replaces) then how do you make it change like the freeze. Do you have to triple-tap or something?
PiplodocusMemberP.S. This thread: https://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/6544/P15/ was a great help as I run it with a master tap-tempo (see below). I just wanna be able to recall loads of patterns. Would be great to find there’s also a similar hidden “save to current patch” MIDI CC/value!…
Instructions for changing Global Tempo or Bounce mode:
1. Press and hold the TAP DIVIDE button for 3 seconds.
2. After three seconds, the GL and DIR LEDs above the digit display will light up. Continue to hold down the TAP DIVIDE button during the following steps.
3. The digit display will display the current mode, a number between 0 and 3. If this is the first time you are using this feature, it will display 0.
4. Turn the MODE knob to choose the mode you want, the modes are numbered 0 through 3. Here is an explanation of each mode:0: Global Tempo = OFF; Bounce Mode = 14 Step (This is the factory default, Bounce does not repeat each step at the ends of the sequence)
1: Global Tempo = ON; Bounce Mode = 14 Step
2: Global Tempo = OFF; Bounce Mode = 16 Step (Bounce hangs on each step at the ends of the sequence for two ticks of the sequence clock)
3: Global Tempo = ON; Bounce Mode = 16 Step5. Once set to the mode you want, release the TAP DIVIDE button, the 8 Step remembers the setting in its configuration settings.
PiplodocusMemberAh, I think half the problem is you can only save with a specific CC via midi. Therefore, I think all my >10 patches sound the same. Still not plain sailing though.
Currently the only way to save into all those >10 presets is to use the foot controller (which I don’t want as mentioned above), else send CC117 with a value of the patch to be saved to. That basically means making a dedicated save button for each patch I want to save to on my MIDI controller. If I want a lot of 8-step patches I can edit that’s a lot of buttons dedicated to saving 8-step patches!!! Shame there’s not a “save to current preset” MIDI command. Then you could recall a patch via MIDI, set the sliders and mod it, and just save it back to the same one.
