the issue with using a pitch shifter in the loop is that all pitch shifters have some latency. it’s only a few milliseconds, but when you’re trying to play something in rhythm it becomes noticeable. try mixing in a little bit of dry signal and it should make it not as noticeable
Paco (EHX staff)Memberyou cannot directly connect and amplifier’s speaker out to a system, it must be loaded down. the floorpod is not an amplifier, it is an amp-emulation preamp.
the 22 caliber or 44 magnum must be connected to an 8 or 16 OHM speaker cabinet
Quote:so how is this any different then when we connect the output of the speaker heads into the system? we use no cabinets at all. Some people set their heads on the floor, I use a floorpod……. I’m probably ignorant here, so be easy on me…. LOLPaco (EHX staff)Memberthis will not work
the 22 caliber, and 44 magnum are amplifiers, they must go into speaker cabinets
Quote:I’m considering trying one of these out to go direct into a sound system on stage. I currently use a FloorPod direct for the same purpose, but really want to go back to a simple set of stompboxes.
Any idea if this would work for this purpose??? Series would of course be Guitar > Wah > stompboxes > 22 magnum > direct box.Your thoughts????
Paco (EHX staff)Memberif you’re actually talking about the pedal power AC, that puts out AC voltage, then no it won’t work. the voice box require DC voltage
Paco (EHX staff)MemberQuote:Does the Voice Box pedal pitch correct your main vocal input? It’s not clear what is matched, and how the matching works with an input instrument going at the same time.the voice box does not do any pitch correction. the V256 does pitch correction.
Paco (EHX staff)MemberQuote:Hi guys, I was wondering if it was possible to put an expression pedal jack into a Micro POG? I’d be willing to grab a bigger enclosure if it was going to be too tight of a squeeze into the standard box.what do you want the expression pedal jack to control?
August 3, 2010 at 3:24 pm in reply to: V256 Vocoder. Is it possible to make vocal effect clean, if you have overdrive/distortion on a amp? #110642Paco (EHX staff)Memberyes, if your amp is distorting, then everything going into will distort. you could use the distortion from you pedal, and set the amp clean.
if you need your amp to be dirty, then you need to send the vocal out to something else, like a PA

July 19, 2010 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Volume Settings at home & in the studio vs. Live on the stage. #110341Paco (EHX staff)Memberone thing that has been helpful for me when setting you pedal levels. make sure you are comparing your the level of your hardest strums. if you are strumming lightly, the OD sound will appear to be much louder because it is already compressed., but then if you hit a hard clean sound, it’ll be much louder.
Paco (EHX staff)Memberin my opinion the H1TV is head and shoulder above any other ac15
Paco (EHX staff)MemberI believe that the default pitch you’re hearing is whatever the pitch knob is set to. If you turn the pitch knob fully CW or fully CCW, it will kill the automatically internally generated synth, effectively not vocoding any noise if you’re not sending it a midi signal.
there is no output gating because it would interfere with how the blend control works.
let me know if this helps.
Paco (EHX staff)Memberhmm this is interesting. where do you have your pitch knob set?
Paco (EHX staff)Memberit sounds like something isn’t right with your set up. going xlr to 1/4inch with a simple adapter is not the best way to do it.
it sounds like a ground loop hum to me.
even though it hums, can you hear anything when you speak into the mic?
Paco (EHX staff)Membersorry for the confusion. it sounds great!
