PabloMemberQuote:I can’t believe I left out DEVO
It’s a kickass list nonetheless,
‘Eighties’ by Killing Joke is another classic,
small clone-esque chorus all over that track.PabloMemberQuote:I bought one of those back in November, but I confess that I haven’t really played with it much yet. It’s been sitting in its box for awhile – and not because it didn’t sound great, I just have too many toys and I can’t get to them all.I love Graemy’s videos. What a collection that guy has. This video has inspired me to pull the Soul Kiss out of hibernation. Thanks for sharing.
No worries,
his collection is phenomenal :freak:
those faces he was pulling were crazy,
dunno if I’d play one live 😆I think that’d be a very quirky re-issue for EH to do,
it would certainly knock the Danelectro Free Speech for six.Adding a quick wee edit; this is my 100th post, woo!
PabloMemberQuote:Quote:I’d add PIL- Public image to your list too, great stuff! It’s in there somewhere. It’s a really long list. I think I put “Death Disco” in there.
Yup, and Devo’s version of Satisfaction maybe too!
PabloMemberQuote:Quote:if you get a wee minute check out the song ‘Trap Door’ by my band The Q, I think you’ll really dig it,
http://www.myspace.com/theq42I do really dig it :thumb: Totally up my alley. The post-punk era is probably my favorite era of music.
http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25320152&postcount=1Great vocals too. Is that you?
Thanks Fender&EHX4ever;, glad you like it, it is indeed, was great fun layering it all together in the studio.
I agree, post-punk is fantastic and surprisingly overlooked too.
I’d add PIL- Public image to your list too, great stuff!PabloMemberQuote:Like the Frequency Analyzer, it’s a pedal that begs you to find creative or unconventional applications for it.I like placing it in the effect loop of the Qtron+. It sounds great when playing staccato rhythmic lines into a delay. I also like to use it with my Sonic Boomer drum to get a fat kick sound.
Here’s a soundclip where I use it with a Crying Tone Wah: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7486247
I never even thought of using it with the percussive pedal,
had a few awesome sounds with a space drum going, cheers FenderEHX4ever! :thumb:That crying tone sounds fantastic with the delay, really like that slow wah sound,

Had a later bad stone on loan for a few weeks,
I thought it knocked my stone for six.Don’t know — I’ve always just heard it referred to as the “zombie face”. I always thought the Lamb’s Head looks like Mike Matthews…maybe this is Mike looking rough in the morning after a night on the town?
Hahaha brilliant,
You might be onto something there, I do wonder where the Ram’s Head idea came from.PabloMemberQuote:https://www.ehx.com/blog/namm-musikmesse(I posted this for anyone interested in a quick look at EHX’s trade show booth)
Nicely nicely.
PabloMemberQuote:Once again Dan Miller does a great demo! I love the way he always gets straight to the point and highlights the essential features of any EHX pedal he demonstrates.…and I join nightraven and Dreamhunter in their request for a freeze pedal. Why not call it the Icebox? (The Freezer seems too obvious to be an EHX pedal name).
The Icebox would deliver the Hog’s freeze / gliss portamento as a unique feature of a simplified and less expensive pedal. And I cannot resist saying that a re-issue of the Crying Tone series would provide the perfect casing with integrated treadle for this effect!!!!
The Ice Box was the name of a really really sub-par stereo chorus DOD made, it is now a doorstop in my living room 😆
I couldn’t agree more though that a freeze pedal is needed.
I’d certainly buy one,
it could be called The Fridge or The Ice Cap :thumb:PabloMemberQuote:Quote:he probably sold it on CL or something
I wonder how much he gotMe too. I just got one and I’d like to know if I paid too much…(or got a good deal…seemed OK to me).
Who’s face is that on the pedal?

Hey John,
There’s not much of a place for them on mine either, cool pedal to have though for the weird moments.
I have tried it on a bass and it doesn’t sound as cutting or crisp as it did on guitar but it still gives those mad, glitchy sega mega drive/ game boy/ atari sounds.PabloMemberQuote:lol soon the boxes alone are going to be going for $100 on ebayOh no!
People are gonna start forging them lol
My guess is it was a template from an Octave Multiplexer or summat.PabloMemberQuote:When I want my guitar to sound like a sitar, I tune it CCCCCCTry tuning to DGDGGD
Just add Holy Grail and pow! Instant Karma (excuse the pun)PabloMemberJust about to buy one of these;
are there any problems I should look out for?PabloMemberI can’t wait
PabloMemberQuote:Quote:Quote:I’m pretty sure I’m going to get a Double Muff soon. I’d just like to know if you can get a really saturated fuzz if you crank both knobs in double mode.It gets pretty fuzzy…its almost as fuzzy as a cranked Fuzz Face, if you know what that sounds like.
That’s pretty much what I’m looking for. It’s only a matter of time now…
By the way, when would you guess that the DM is going to become discontinued? Also, do you think it will be reissued a la nano or will it fall into obscurity? (valuable obscurity, that is).I’d like to see it as a nano,
it’s too good a pedal to discontinue methinks.
I leave my amp on clean all the time now and use this like another channel,
it’s sweet. -
