Is the MKD-090500UK The correct power supply for the classic cased Holy Grail?
I got mine in a hock-shop and I dunno if that’s the right supply it was bundled with.PabloMemberEHX Memory Toy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVbK5iCSyIc
MXR Carbon Copy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJPde-C28iU
Hmmm.
I’d go Memory Toy, the modulation is much richer IMHO.PabloMemberIt’s a nifty idea.
But, EHX already have a fair few reverb pedals on the go,
and in comparison I think this one might be a bit of a non-starter.PabloMemberI’m in the same boat,
I’d quite like to see an in depth review of the Iron Lung.PabloMemberI know what you mean.
To me it seems like a Frequency Analyzer with more bells and whistles.
Very impressive bells and whistles mind you.
I just dunno where I’d use it in my setup,
I already find it hard justifying the inclusion of the F.A. on my pedalboard.PabloMemberQuote:Quote:the compressor was going in parallel with the fuzz so you could blend the clean signalI have the later version with the Series/Parallel switch, which allows you to put the compressor in front of the fuzz for super-long sustain. I like it much, much, much better than running it in parallel.
Sounds sweet!
PabloMemberQuote:Hey, what about Graphic fuzz? for the features i could spend some extra bucks at least i hope i’d have them… whateverwhat do you think? could i emulate some nice thicker fuzz with it?
and it’s EHX!
edit: guys i’d really appreciate your help… please?
OR SERIOUSLY…
the NYC Muff… doesn’t it get lost in the mix? is it good ’nuff for the Frusciante type of sounds (since Johns uses the NYC muff… well…)?Two birds with one stone there, brilliant EQ sculpting tool avec sweet sweet fuzz.
My money’d go on the Graphic Fuzz quicker than you could say ‘Satisfaction.’ :metal:PabloMemberQuote:Ok, it seems like there are no set rules here, as I previously thought. I will move the pedals all over the chain- to hear how they sound. Thank you one & all for all your input. I will post the final results when I get there…..Thanks again,
James
I say jumble it up James, you might find some interesting sounds of your own.
See Bill Rupperts reverb video for some ideas.PabloMemberQuote:That’s a V1 unit. It originally had a gold painted tube.Nice!
I would go for it, but I can’t justify having more than one,
EH Man- Which version is this one pictured?
I picked it up a few years back,
the guy who owned it didn’t know how to use it :facepalm:PabloMemberQuote:posted over at harmony central, but thought a few might be interested here as well … details on my setup can be viewed here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidandree/4421648356/examples of my work can be found at http://davidandree.bandcamp.com or http://www.davidandree.com/blog/?tag=music
just on your bandcamp now,
very cinematic!Wahey! Those Dan-echos rock.
PabloMemberVery very nice stuff.
Very cinematic.PabloMemberI think it’s some crazy person with a soldering iron and alot of time…and switches.
But hey, I’d buy it if it were.PabloMemberQuote:all the buyers go around $100,000 (just tryin to help ya out man)Hahaha maybe FriedJesseRadio!
Thanks guys,
I’ll try and get some photos up, its in a very used condition, works as good as new but looks worn as hell.PabloMemberQuote:WOW…..just WOW!I know!
It looks like it’s been lifted out of some funky tank or something,
I’ve no idea what all the switches do but I still want one.PabloMemberBill Ruppert does a sweet mellotron in his Effectology series.
