Absolutely love this song and tone. I thought it was a Big Muff at first, but i believe its Roland AF-100 Bee-Baa he uses.

Much appreciated Supreme Pancake, now the hunt is on for yet another fuzz pedal! :D

Hey all, I thought it might be fun to try to compile a list of “iconic tracks” that have used EHX gear (obvious selections might include work by Pink Floyd, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, White Stripes, etc.

    Fender&EHX;, that means you! :D

This came on in the car while I was holiday a few weeks back//
‘Buttered Beauties’ by Devo, they rip it up with the old Frequency Analyzer, so much so that as soon as I got to Paris I stopped by an old music shop and picked one up for the un-pass-up-able sum of 40 Euros.

    Here’s a wee link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVZMSQOEPmY

So the Freeze has come at last, and we can surely expect a bigger XO version soon no doubt. Back some time ago my “design” for the “Freezer” was for an XO pedal so there is hope yet!
Anyway, I join with all to say thanks to EHX for being on the ball yet again. Great stuff!
….and I look forward to EHX bringing out their own “Enchanter” pedal to get some mystical Indian sounds going, that would be seriously cool!
    ……and a new Crying Tone series, n’est-ce pas? 🙄

WatsonWood I believe some time ago we talked about the viability of such a pedal,
I sure am glad that Electro Harmonix have listened to our requests and put the thing into production.
What other company would go out on a limb and do this?! Certainly not any that I can think of.
Best wishes for the arrival of your Freeze unit and happy playing!
    Paul.

i’m not too enthused. don’t like the name ‘neo clone’ so much and i don’t understand why they’re not just calling it small clone. and the nano clone looked just fine. the big sticker and the ‘neo’ font are pretty ugly. the freeze and muff are off in color and have too much going on. i prefer the simpler designs they usually do

    what do you think?

Well, for me anyway, I wouldn’t care if they were a sickening shade of lime green with naff racing stripes. I ain’t gonna be looking at the pedals too much while playing. But the Nano Clone wasn’t a true ‘Small Clone’ nano-sized, I like the Neo Clone.

The Germanium Muff would look incredibly bare and sparse in my opinion without that neat Ram’s head pattern. The Freeze is also tastefully done I believe as it hits the nail on the head graphically as to what the outcome of the effect actually is.

    It is.

Gotta love the Foxx Tone Machine too, although I wouldn’t gig with it, it’s covered in some sort of felt. I’ve never noticed any volume drop with my French Toast to be honest, if anything I’ve noticed the opposite, how odd. Classic fuzz pedal though.

I love the tuna melt, that’s some seriously tasty 50’s amp tremolo right there.
Yes! Those Fabtone distortion pedals are so cheap, they’re bullet-proof too, had mine for ages and no complaints so far…

and yes the Reel Echo is super cool, but our guitarist won’t lend me his :P

The audio went belly up, so I had to record something post haste with the guys in the band in our rehearsal space and our guitar player Tom had to step in to play the guy coming home from work. But here it is you guys….be gentle :P

Nice work! Makes me inspired to make a music video….

How do you like that new Black Dove Tele?

Cheers man, that’s the squier version, which still sounds pretty sweet,
played a fender black dove tele a few weeks back in my local guitar shop and wasn’t all that blown away by it if I’m honest, the squier’s just as good if not better for alot less money.
