red hot chili peppers, lyric is from toture me
owenMemberI had problems with my holy grail cutting out when i used anything but the included power supply
owenMemberI’ve herd the hum debugger colors your sound in a very odd almost filter sort of way
owenMemberYeah i’ve herd that would reduce noise aswell, although ive never really had any noise troubles. Have you ever tried running the hot tubes and english muff’n together? i was thinking about getting a hot tubes
owenMemberIn my opinion the english muff’n (dialed in properly) is the best od known to man. Funk and blues galore, classic rock, throw another od pedal in front of the muff’n and it can easily do metal.
owenMemberIts been another week and the muff’n is still running great!
owenMemberWell, its been a week and the muff’n is still running great, im kindof wondering why ehx didn’t just use a built in power cord? I understand the convienience of being able to unplug the adapter, but it really seems to run ALOT better this way. Also i would still love to hear any feedback concerning the safety of running the muff’n this way, and whether or not it could be harmful to the pedal. anyone??
owenMemberi dont personally know how to do it but there are analog delays with tap tempo’s, it would probably be a pretty heavy mod but it is possible
owenMemberI had a memory toy that i sold awhile ago and yes it can go completlly wet, as far as delay chips i dont know for sure but i doubt they used anything special like an mn3005 as they are no longer in production and aren’t even being used in the deluxe memory man anymore. you could easily go to your local music store, ask them to open one up for you and just have a look inside
owenMemberThere is no tap tempo built in, but you should be able to mod either one of the pedals to have it, and i have also heard of expression pedal mods for the MM, so if you had an expression pedal for tap tempo then i suppose you could just put the photocell in its place like on the video
owenMemberpersonally i think it sounds great stock, i tried two 12ax7’s and a 12ax7/12ay7 mix, but i ended up just putting the stock tubes back in, great clean, crunch, and distorion
