Don’t take this as criticism, but I can’t understand how a pedal’s appearance matters a hill of beans if it does what you want.

well, it matters because I don’t actually need the pedal. If it was a sound I was really going after, it would be a different story. I’ve seen the demos and it seems to make some cool sounds, but I’ve got all the cool-sounding pedals that I really need. But, it would definitely be fun to play around with. It’s hard to justify, to myself, spending $280 on something just to fool around with, anyway but I could maybe talk myself into it, if it didn’t look so blah.

Yeah, I’ve seen the Pigtronix Attack Sustain and unfortunately I’m a shallow SOB who doesn’t like many boutique pedals… haha. Besides, the Attack Sustain is uggggly. However, if I get desperate, I’ll probably suck it up and get the it. I’ll just have to hold out hope I can find a vintage Attack Decay at a good price or that EHX reissues them. That’s a bummer about the delay ICs… didn’t know that. Definitely something to consider.

yeah, my big sticking point with buying an Attack Sustain is how freaking ugly that pedal is. It’s stupid and vain, I suppose, but man I wish they made a version that actually looked cool.

We have released all the backorders and have shipped all the Big Muff Tone Wiickers to all those who have pre-ordered them. You should check your local guy and see if he’s ordered it. If not, he can place one and you should have shortly. It Sells for $89 US.

Good Luck and Keep making Noise!

cool. But this is definitely a pedal I want to try before buying. I just don’t know what to expect (though that is rather exciting). I guess I’ll just have to be patient for awhile longer before it turns up at one of my local music stores.

Yes it can. This is the most versatile Big Muff yet. You will be pleased. It will answer a lot of questions you may have about distortion. Kind of like the birds and the bees.

So what’s the deal with this? Originally, I saw it listed as being available November 21st. Just now, it looks like Tone Factor has it, but no one else. When should it be making it’s way to my neighborhood EHX store?

I don’t know what to say because I thought the BMP RI was the best for chords! I found it the brightest of the current pedals, but yeah maybe a wicker will be the one…..unfortunatly, they haven’t hit out shops here yet.

the bass muff might work good for chords too because of the clean blend.

yeah, I’ve also heard that the NYC was the best for chords, but it just didn’t do it for me. Maybe, my chord stuff just doesn’t mesh with the Muff sound? I’m mainly looking for a Muff for leads anyway, since I already have a couple fuzzes that I like for rhythm/chords, but I figured it might be a bonus if I could find a Muff that did it all.

As for the Tone Wicker, I can’t wait to hear it. Can it get an NYC-type sound in addition to all the new tones?

okay, well I’m convinced. I’m ordering one later today. Does a power supply come with it? Does it run on batteries? None of the retail sites I’ve seen mention whether it runs on an adapter or batteries…

The Distortion/Fuzz out of it is amazing. The tubes cook the signal up and it oozez tone.

This is what I wanted to hear. Is there anything you can compare the distortion/fuzz to? Any point of reference?

…I had made up my mind to buy one last week, after hearing tube zipper’s demo. But then my GC didn’t have any in stock, so I figured I’d check in with you guys before I ordered one. These responses are really reminding me of why I ought to get one.

yeah, I find it odd that this happens a day or so after the announcement of the EHX forums…

a guitar shop guy once tried to convince me that the Flerb setting on the Holy Grail was actually reverse reverb…while that was silly, the Flerb does sound kind of cool.

For a high gain fuzz with more sustain than a sustainy thing from planet sustain, It never really struck me as being excessively noisey.

I cetainly played through noisier lower gain pedals.

yeah, after playing with several devi ever pedals, I find that the little bit of extraneous noise via my Big Muff is hardly noticeable.

some great ideas in this thread.

I really like the idea of a Nano Screaming Tree

I love the idea of an EHX Fuzz Wah

A massive Muff multi-effect that let you switch between the different Muff circuits/sounds, would be mind-blowing
