Yes, and you need two resistors, both 4.7 meg, 1/4 watt each.
Before you solder on the the shiny metal surface scratch it up with the tip of a knife so it becomes rough, solder will stick to it very easily after this.Ned FlandersModeratorYou don’t need to replace the switch these switches are good for 30,000 cycles, to fix this problem will cost you 20cents.
Solder a 4.7Meg resistor form input to ground and from output to ground.
That’s from the first silver band to the last silver band on each black plastic jack inside.
This will totally remove any pop.December 19, 2008 at 9:53 pm in reply to: order all the EHX pedals you’ve owned from favorite to least favorite #89207Ned FlandersModeratorI’ve always been amazed at your EHX collection, i hope some day my big muff collection will rival it!

You’ve owned a few EH pedals dude! I’ve only ever sold one EH pedal, my micro synth, but I plan on replacing that with at least 2 more EH pedals.LOL
Ned FlandersModeratorIts a pretty cool pedal, been meaning to get one but I’m always buying big muffs so its on the back burner. I particularly like a bias control on pedals.
December 18, 2008 at 10:03 pm in reply to: order all the EHX pedals you’ve owned from favorite to least favorite #89163Ned FlandersModeratorI liked my micro synth but I ended up getting rid of it because it didn’t do everything I wanted it too, I suppose that’s the limits of analog ain’t it. I’m gonna replace it with a POG or HOG me thinks.

Ned FlandersModeratorJust scored another big muff on eBay, its a 80’s 3034 transistor version with tone bypass. Now that I’ve spent all the money in my big muff fund I wont be buying anymore for quite some time. I’ve bought 3 in 2 days so that aught to cure teh Big Muff GAS for a while.LOL

Ned FlandersModeratorNope, just tried it a few times again, nothing. Don’t matter as there’s only so many ways to bypass a tonestack and I can assume from using a DPDT that he has TB’d it or is just using half of it and is doing it the same way as my tonestack mod. Never mind!

Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:Your BMP collection will begin rival Mascis’Let’s keep talking about the Deluxe Big Muff Pi.
Which one did you buy? The one with the Blend switch? or the Parallel/Series switch?
I haven’t used mine for a couple of months now, but I really love it. It sounds awesome. I’ve just been using my Ronsound modded BMP lately instead.
I don’t think I will ever have as many as mascis, although…
I haven’t bought the deluxe yet, but its the one with a blend switch sadly I wanted it to be a series/parallel switch but ya cant have it all i spose..Ned FlandersModeratorI be getting me one wednesday, of course it will take two weeks to get to me by mail!LOL I’ve seen the video but I would buy it even if I hadn’t, I’m a bit fanatical about big muffs see. :thumb:
Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:Sorry, the “Creamy Dreamer” story was told first and fully at “DIYstompboxes” forum,
but you`ll have to register at: “DIYstompboxesforum” before being able to view the “Lounge”…And yet people refuse to believe it, they still think B.Corgan used one of these CD BMP’s. 🙄
Ned FlandersModeratorSo I actually done the tone bypass mod I put together the other day, I had only tried it on a fuzz face big muff hybrid I built and it had good results, but on the big muff its even better, if you do this mod there’s no way you will complain about a lack of volume anymore, it now passes unity at about 10-11 o/clock. While in tone bypass mode its very reminiscent of the IC big muff I have, still unmistakeably a big muff just with a flatter EQ as opposed to a scooped one. Over all its an excellent mod, I recommend doing it. Anyone one with a soldering iron can do it, takes about ten minutes and is a very basic mod for beginners, I highly recommend it. :rawk:
