Ned FlandersModerator
Just return it dude, something ain’t right.
Ned FlandersModeratorTry some of the example settings that come with it, if they don’t work contact EHX or take it back to the store for a replacement.
Ned FlandersModeratorI have some mods I put together for this muff that will make it sound even better, it will have a sound cross between the NYC muff and the green sovtek muff, I’ll PM it to you. It will only cost you a couple of dollars to do too.
Ned FlandersModeratorYou should easily here the gain adjust if you’ve set it up right, its very noticeable. Does the effect work normal other than that?
Ned FlandersModeratorOf all the EH pedals I’ve bought I’ve never got one sticker, I don’t think they do stickers anymore. I’d like a few EH stickers that for sure.
Ned FlandersModeratorDid you set the sliders the way EH says to before adjusting the gain?
Ned FlandersModeratorI love the little enclosures the current russian muff is in, its kinda like the triangle muff size.
Ned FlandersModeratorEffects with germanium transistors do this often, just depends on your location and house wiring. I have a silicon fuzz, the ultra lord, that does it so its not limited to germanium effects but more common in them. It does it sometimes so clear I can hear every word on the radio and the funny thing is that its American radio yet I’m in Australia! Just try it in a different room, different power outlet and different positions and settings, sometimes you cant get rid off it sometimes you can.
Ned FlandersModeratorYou can make any black muff into a green one by changing the value of 3 resistors, for the diagram PM me.
Ned FlandersModeratorI thought the thread title was fine, it gets to the point and people can see what exactly its all about.
I did add FAQ to it but I left the original there.Ned FlandersModeratorYeah that too, check your cables by running your guitar straight into your amp, check all patch cables this way too.
Ned FlandersModeratorNope, its fine! Its definitely playable.
Ned FlandersModeratorUnplug all other pedals and run the muffn direct into your amp, if there/s no noise add one pedal back in the chain at a time, this will find the noisy pedal or the pedal that is creating noise in conjunction with the muffin.
Ned FlandersModeratorThe pulsar is versatile, it does vintage trem to full on square wave chop to ring mod. Its great!
Ned FlandersModeratorTo adjust the bypassed volume use the trim pot in the back, read the manual as it tells you how to adjust the sliders to make this adjustment. That will fix your bypass versus effect volume, as for the other problem, I don’t know what it could be.
