Ned FlandersModerator
They are $89.25!
Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:well the octave effects I believe are optimized for Bass. So it will respond better on lower notes, but not as well on higher notes I believe.IMO the MS responds better to lower notes anyways, I had the guitar version and I always preferred the sub octave to the upper octave.
Ned FlandersModeratorlate 90’s sovtek(modded to greensovtekXnyc muff specs)
nyc muff modded with a big midscoop in a new sovtek box
early 90’s green sovtek
RI muff with added tone bypass
78 opamp muff with tone bypass
81 muff with tone bypass
BMTW
LBM(modded to NYC specs)(right click view image to see them all)
Ned FlandersModeratorNah, simon, its not.
to julian:No its still non TB, its the way its wired.
Ned FlandersModeratorI got my BMPTW yesterday and I love it, I like it with the tone and wicker on, sustain on full tone around 1 o’clock, sounds real nice. The wicker is subtle yet it adds a high end clarity that sounds sick!
Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:I had always heard that most of the XO series were now all TB. Is that not true? I just recently found out my Stereo Mistress isn’t true bypass. I thought the Stereo Polychorus was definitely TB…Hmm. I need to go check some things out!The reason the stereo effects aren’t TB is because they only use a 3PDT switch and to be true stereo you cant do it with a 3PDT, you need a 4PDT. Of course if you omit the LED you can have stereo with a 3PDT.
The non TB on my stereo pulsar, stereo polychorus and SMMH is fine though, it doesn’t suck at all.Ned FlandersModeratorJust wondering is all.
Ned FlandersModeratorWorks fine from my understanding.
Ned FlandersModeratorMy sovtek muff arrived yesterday, it s super cool!

http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o127/truthandshame/Big Muff/BMPTW.pngNed FlandersModeratorYeah., I’ve seen that:), I’, ordering that fuzz dvd tomorrow, I’m looking forward to it.
Ned FlandersModeratorYour back simon? I thought you were going for a week? or has it been a week already?
Ned FlandersModeratorA factory tour would be great, show the workshop, the silkscreening, some making effects, some interviews with your dad would be cool too Scott and some interviews with the EHX workers telling how they have the best job in the world! (If I lived in NYC I would be applying for an EHX effects assembler immediately!)
Ned FlandersModeratorJust? why say just? The RI’s are cool and will be classics in 30 years dude!
Ned FlandersModeratorThe hot tubes isn’t made anymore but EHX just told us that they are re-issuing the last 300 hot tubes pedals, after that they will be no more.
The Metal Muff is a super cool distortion, contrary to popular belief its not a big muff derivative, it is a high gain distortion. Check out the full sized version with 3 band EQ.
Its the best high gain distortion I’ve ever played. It has excellent bass response BTW!Ned FlandersModeratorThe bluebox is pretty cool, even with the blend all the way up its a cool fuzz.I haven’t used mine in over a year.LOL
Betrayal? Never! You cant limit yourself to one company when there’s so many cool effects out there dude. -
