well the octave effects I believe are optimized for Bass. So it will respond better on lower notes, but not as well on higher notes I believe.

IMO the MS responds better to lower notes anyways, I had the guitar version and I always preferred the sub octave to the upper octave.

I got my BMPTW yesterday and I love it, I like it with the tone and wicker on, sustain on full tone around 1 o’clock, sounds real nice. The wicker is subtle yet it adds a high end clarity that sounds sick!

I had always heard that most of the XO series were now all TB. Is that not true? I just recently found out my Stereo Mistress isn’t true bypass. I thought the Stereo Polychorus was definitely TB…Hmm. I need to go check some things out!

The reason the stereo effects aren’t TB is because they only use a 3PDT switch and to be true stereo you cant do it with a 3PDT, you need a 4PDT. Of course if you omit the LED you can have stereo with a 3PDT.
The non TB on my stereo pulsar, stereo polychorus and SMMH is fine though, it doesn’t suck at all.

A factory tour would be great, show the workshop, the silkscreening, some making effects, some interviews with your dad would be cool too Scott and some interviews with the EHX workers telling how they have the best job in the world! (If I lived in NYC I would be applying for an EHX effects assembler immediately!)

The hot tubes isn’t made anymore but EHX just told us that they are re-issuing the last 300 hot tubes pedals, after that they will be no more.
The Metal Muff is a super cool distortion, contrary to popular belief its not a big muff derivative, it is a high gain distortion. Check out the full sized version with 3 band EQ.
Its the best high gain distortion I’ve ever played. It has excellent bass response BTW!
