Its been that size for a few years now though so whats going on with all this “new russian” stuff? Is someone only now noticing it or something?
This is the older chassis one and the PGS video is the one that’s been out for a few years so unless there’s another new one I would bet there actually isn’t a new one at all.
Current version although the wooden box no longer comes with it.
Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:I really like ‘rather ripped’, but that ‘destroyed room: b-sides and rare’ left me wondering why the hell I had just spent £12 on it.You know, of all the SY albums I own I’ve only bought 2 of them, the rest are from torrents.LOL I usually only buy albums of my favorite bands and even though i love SY they aren’t in my top 3 favorite bands.
My top 3 would be
Kinski (i bought all their albums)
Earth (same, I’m a little disappointed with their latest few albums, I prefer the older distorted stuff)
NirvanaJanuary 19, 2009 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Which current production EHX pedals do you think will become highly valued in the future? #91197Ned FlandersModeratorI don’t even like the sound of the sovtek muffs, they suck IMO, so i modded both my sovteks to NYC muffs. I only like them because of the soviet stylings of the boxes and if I didn’t collect them I would never buy a sovtek muff, ever!
Ned FlandersModeratorDon’t forget J Mascis, he’s based his whole sound around the Big Muff!

January 19, 2009 at 9:42 pm in reply to: Which current production EHX pedals do you think will become highly valued in the future? #91168Ned FlandersModeratorIts a older 3003A then because on that one the revision is on the component side and on the new one the board is blue with EC3003 Revision C on the solder side.
Ned FlandersModeratorOk thanks.

The reason being its the last version to use individual wires to wire it up, the new version uses ribbon cable and a tiny PCB for the switch, people will swear the 3003A is better even though its not. The new version is available in most stores right now, there’s only one way to tell if you have the new one and that’s open it up and look at the PCB, if its blue and has “revision C” on it its new.
Ned FlandersModeratorIn no order:
Nirvana
Sonic Youth
Earth
Kinski
Dinosaur JrNed FlandersModeratorYeah I know, now you pay $200-$350 for them unless you get a real score on eBay or something. Hell, I only payed $100 for my 78 IC muff and $140 for my 81 3034 muff.
Ned FlandersModeratorI’ve payed that for a green sovtek muff so its a deal IMO!
Ned FlandersModeratorYep! I’ll add the how to to the mod pages thread if its a good one too.
Ned FlandersModeratorIts in nice condition by the look of it too and providing you didn’t pay stoopid money for it, cool!
Ned FlandersModeratorIn place of a regular pot just use a trim pot hot melt glued to the inside side of the enclosure, then you only need to drill a tiny hole in it to access it with a tiny screw driver and it wont look stupid. That’s what I would do anyways.
Ned FlandersModeratorQuote:Is it just me or does it seem like no one uses the double muff? Granted, its not one of EHX’s more complex pedals but still, its a MUFF and its cheap!Actually, its not a big muff, its two overdrives in series.
BTW, I only have 19 dirt pedals so I could always do with more.
