This is why I want a EH hot tubes because it has high voltage to the tubes and it is real tube distortion unlike the starved plate tube pedals from other companies. I hope to get one of the final 300.
EDIT:
Scott, you and your sister look a lot like your dad, the resemblance is quite remarkable actually and I knew as soon as I saw your sister that she was mikes daughter.LOL And its good to put a face to you too.
Its a cool little video and I’d love to see more of them in the future. Love all the tubes too!!!
I cant watch this video cause my internet service is sucky, it takes too long to load then wont play back. I’m getting a better/faster service next week so I’ll have to wait till then to view it/comment on it.
How can you not get your amp dirty? Have you tried turning the volume and or gain knob up? That usually solves the whole clean problem.
Twin reverbs stay clean on 10 dude.
I’ve always used crystal clean amps and I rely on effects for dirt. Effects sound so much better than amp distortion IMO, I hate dirty amps but some mesa’s are ok but still nothing like effects.
The coolest thing is to put a blue box and foxx tone machine(octave on) on together, you get full on glitchy computer sounds. Totally unusable IMO,but cool nonetheless.
I have a clip of me doing this but the host is down so I cant post it.
Cause I like old things and old effects.
I collect old effects and old books, the oldest effect I have is from 1978, the oldest book I have is from 1934.
The RI’s are fine, nothing wrong with them and I’d likely get one of them too.
A vintage 1966 Fender Mustang, daphne blue, One of the tuners broke so I replaced the whole lot with Gotoh Klusons. I put a DiMarzio super distortion humbucker in the bridge (single coil size) and a SD Jaguar Antiquity in the neck because stock vintage Mustang pickups are very low output. I also increased the pots to 500kA as stock they are 250kA.
A Japanese Fender Jaguar, vintage white, that I put humbuckers in (routed it myself) its got a DiMarzio super distortion in the bridge and a PAF in the neck, 500kA pots, and new switchcraft switches/cloth wire etc.
A Squier Jagmaster, 3 tone sunburst, modified slightly. I put a Japanese Jaguar pickup in the neck, rewired it so each pickup has its own volume control and you can blend them with the 3 way switch and volume controls.
A Hohner JazzmasterXJaguarXstrat type guitar , pastel green, thats modified and has one pickup in the bridge and is tuned to F#F#F#F#F#F#.
I been wanting another guitar for a while, I’ll either get a Jazzmaster or a PRS tremonti, I’m currently undecided…just as well cause I cant afford either at the moment anyways.
